Shiggs is working in the next platform Mario for the DS, which ideas would you give him?
I think that the bosses from Mario Bros. 2 should return. As well as old power ups like the Tanooki suit and the kuribo shoe from SMB3 and a level using the astronaut suit of Mario Land 2 and F.L.U.D.D as an extra weapon.
Since the first Mario, the saga has grown a lot and many details can be reused from old games to give that special feeling of nostalgia we all like.
But not only old things, Miyamoto is known for his surprises and I am sure that this game will be full of them.
Any other ideas?

The Mario games are famous for the perfect mixture of old classic ideas and new innovative ones. I do not doubt that the DS game will be different.

Don't be so sure... a little bird tells me that NST are making it. NST stand for rehashing old ideas. Sometimes they work well, sometimes not.
Track record: - Bionic Commando: Elite Forces (rehash of NES game) - Ridge Racer 64 (rehash of Playstation games with very little new content) - Crystalis (rehash of NES game) - Pokemon Puzzle League (rehash of Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack with 3D mode added) - Wave Race: Blue Storm (rehash of Wave Race 64, but not as good) - Nintendo Puzzle Collection (big remake) - 1080 Avalanche (rehash of 1080, apparently not as good as the original) - Mario vs. Donkey Kong (rehash of Donkey Kong on Game Boy, but surprisingly done very well) - And all the recent emulated conversions... Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition, Classic NES series (I think...) and so on.
I always get a little disappointed whenever I hear NST are working on a game. I know it probably won't be as good as it could have been if being developed by another Nintendo developer. They've surprised me once or twice, but on a whole they aren't reknowned for quality (aside from the quality they pinched from the original game they are remaking).

Well, it's pretty obvious that NST only exsists to get more games out the door faster. But I do wish they'd try to up the quality a bit.
