I think Nintendo Official Magazine UK said it best: "Weird"

Basically, your job is to move trees and level the land. If you can overlook the fact that at the start of each day Doshin is too slow when there's so much to do then you'll probably enjoy its charms.

I've played it through twice now, it's just a big relaxing game. And it's fun working out the quickest way to build all the monuments.

Which reminds me... I think there's another secret island I haven't unlocked yet.
