Was Intelligent Systems founded by Gunpei Yokoi? And why is it on the Int Sys. site. I see Metroid and Super Metroid on the list?  |

Was Intelligent Systems founded by Gunpei Yokoi? According to IGN, yes. And why is it on the Int Sys. site. I see Metroid and Super Metroid on the list? Becouse they made them... Infact, they made all the Metroid games 'cept the Prime ones. |

Not quite.
Intelligent Systems was made up of Nintendo RD1 breakaway developers, but Nintendo bought them almost straight away. As such, RD1 and IntSys are almost the same development studio.
Gunpei Yokoi didn't found them, but worked closely with them, as did all of RD1. Did you know IntSys did Wario Ware: Mega Party Games? Surprised me!

Woah! Didn't know about Wario ware. So R&D1 are almost the same? But Int Systems is more of kinda like a divison?

Well, no, not really. But then considering these people invented the entire "Wars" series, Fire Emblem, and then went on to develop many amazing games, can you really blame Hiroshi Yamauchi for clinging onto them?
Oh, and Tetris Attack. Can't forget Tetris Attack!

It's one of those games where you either play it to enjoy it (like me), or play it until you're completely insane (eg. my brother and most Tetris Attack fans). I refuse to play against my brother now. He's FAR too good at it... he doesn't even break into a sweat on the hardest part of the hardest mode of any of the games. He was even good at the 3D mode on Pokemon Puzzle League... my last hope! I still kick his ass at SSBM though  |
