Megaman Anniversary Collection contents

There's been a lot of confusion about the GC version's contents for some time...but in the end, who gives a flipping shit? (Hee-hee...shit. These swears are fucking funny!) What I want to post about is the fighting games that came along with the other eight Classic Megaman games in this package deal.

It took some thinking on where to post this (too long, too...about two weeks' worth), but in the end I decided contemporary because the fighting games (Power Battles and Battle Fighters 2 or something like that, I can never get the names right) only ever appeared on arcade before! So they count as contemporary Nintendo, I think.

Anyway, the fighting games are pretty cool--I don't like the first one as much, since the remixed music comes from about three different megaman levels and the controls aren't as easy to use. The second one has a LOT of remixeseseses, and the controls flow a bit better. The only downer I have on all of it is that you can only play as Rockman, Blues, Forte and Duo...it'd be sick if they made a megaman fighter where you could play as the robot masters. Cutman all the way, baby!!!

I rented it once, and I unlocked ONE arcade game, I LOVE the arcade ones.

On a sidenote, I got though half of Megaman 1 before I realized I could use boss powers. I felt rather stupid, especially with how easy the game suddenly became with that 'discovery'.

I think the game is actually impossible once you reach Wily's castle if you don't use Boss Powers. At least it is in Mega Man 2...
