Hi all...
I have something on my mind, and I'd like to discuss it here, so feel free to contribute to this, and help clarify this little problem for me... thanks...
OK...
I am thinking of getting the Super Mario Advance quadrilogy, as well as SMB Deluxe and eventually SM64x4, so that I have every Mario Bros. platformer before the GCN on a handheld system of some sort - all except the last one that I will be able to play off my GCN through the GBA Player.
But I ask, are these games worth it - I mean, I have SMB, SMB2, SMB3, SMW, SMW2-YI in their original forms, I also have Super Mario All*Stars...
What is it about the SMA series that makes them SO good that I want to play them again?
Is the extra sound, better graphics and occasional new levels all worth it?
Now to the second part of this discussion... the e-reader...
I am aware that SMA4 (SMB3) has e-reader support, which gives you new levels, items and demo videos, but is it worth investing in a GBA (although i plan to get the GBA SP NES ed.), an e-reader, a link cable, and X amount of e-reader cards?
I've read that the SMA4 e-reader cards have been cancelled, so it is impossible to collect them all unless you live in Japan - is this true???
Does this mean that the entire SMA4 e-reader thing is now a failed endeavor that is not worth my time, or IS it still possible for me to make the most of this set up - and is it worth it?
So, I know there's a lot there, and I apologise for that, but could you people please give me your opinions?
I won't invest in any of these games if it isn't worth it, but if it is, then I would still like to know about the e-reader thing, and what differentates these remakes from their original versions.
Cheers!
