does anyone else have this? its great! i have the JPN version, and am thinking about getting both the US and UK versions (w/ tarucongas) so that i have 3 different versions. and 3 sets of drums, then i can just get a 4th sperately. but im not sure if the US and UK versions are too similar... anyone have an opinion? and then theres donkey konga 2 (JPN). how come theres 2 versions out in japan before theres even one over here?

how come theres 2 versions out in japan before theres even one over here? Becouse they're basicly the same game with diffrent soundtracks.

I guess Nintendo of Japan knew such an oddball game would sell over there, but decided it was getting good press here as well - then it takes time to get licenses for music and so forth. But from the looks of it, the Japanese, US and UK versions are all quite different from each other with just a handful of similar tracks each. I'm looking forward to jamming to Supergrass "Richard III"

That's because in Japan Music/dancing Genre games are more popular than the west, so Nintendo didn't seem to think Donkey Konga/Jungle Beat would be successfull in the west.

Even though I am a percussionist, Donkey Konga is definitaly NOT my game. If there's one instrument I stink at, its the conga drums. I spent about 5-10 min. doing one conga drum song in school.
