Following on from the success of my imaginary games developer 'Dream-Dream Factory', I've decided to invest my hard earned imaginary cash in an imaginary film studio (I also need to keep moving, to avoid the attention of certain imaginary copyright lawyers).
So, what game should I turn into a film? What style should that film be? Who should direct/star in it? And no obvious stuff: a Metroid movie is out of bounds, and Resident Evil has already been done.
Other than that, I leave the details entirely up to you. Now then, leave me to just finalise the details of my imaginary plane trip out of the country and liquidize my imaginary accounts...

I personally think a Legend of Zelda film would do pretty good. Though I have no idea who should direct it or star in it...
A Super Mario Bros. film would be cool too, as long as it's not like that one that's already been made... I liked it, but it didn't really have that 'Mario-feeling' to it...

I got my name from that movie. =) I love that movie, but I sorta agree with you. Bob Hoskins is awesome, though. And it had GREAT music! Somewhere My Love, Walk The Dinosaur, and The Anti-Koopa Song! Ain't got no water, anywhere! Food's bad, so's the air! Ain't got resources, in a great big stoopa! All because of the evil King Koopa! Somewhere My Love and Walk The Dinosaur should be in Donkey Konga... Back on topic: I'd like to see...a Fire Emblem movie. With Marth of course. And Zelda would be awesome. And Game & Watch. *Imagines 2 hours of watching Mr. Game & Watch juggle* ...or maybe not.

Ooh, I know something... a computer-generated Mario movie... That way, everything can look just like in the games, and then Charles Martinet can do Mario and Luigi's voices! (he does the voices in the games too) Wouldn't that be cool? ;D

Doesn't Charles Martinet also voice Bowser and the Wario Bros? Or did I just make that up? Anyway... wouldn't it be cool if they made a Pokemon movie? I think EarthBound could work pretty well as either a live-action or computer-generated movie. I'm still under the (biased) opinion that EarthBound is one of the best stories in video game history.

He voices ... like all of Nintendo's characters.

He voices ... like all of Nintendo's characters. The only Mario characters that I've read (in various game credits and interviews) he provides the voice for are Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Dr. Mario and Toadsworth. It is possible, that due to his popularity, he has been asked to be voice talent for other games, but I don't think he does any other Mario character voices.

a zelda movie would be cool, as long as its not like the 80s cartoon... man was link a horny hylian (or is that hyrulean?)!
an f-zero movie would be cool. theres so many stories between all the different characters, but being a racing game that never really shows thru...

Hylian: from Hyllis (check out 'Beyond Good and Evil') Hyrulean: from Hyrule EDIT: And Pokemon is out of bounds too.

It could be Hylian as well. It's used enough in the games. A Zelda movie or a computer generated Mario movie would both be excellent. Maybe if Pixar or Dreamworks picked up Mario ;D But movie makers haven't yet worked out how to make a great film out of a game - just like most game makers haven't worked out how to make a good game from a film. They're usually awful, and some are mediocre. Oh, and then there's Goldeneye

Oh yes, you're right... a resident from Hyllis is spelt 'Hyllian' with 2 Ls. Anyway, I believe Beyond Good and Evil would make a great film! Its got a great story to it, and people like space films don't they?
p.s. Heard about the new Doom film? What do you think about it?
