This went really well last year on a different forum, so I thought this year it could be over here!
How it works: You post the name of the game that deserves to win each award (I will be doing an award a week) and I tally them up. You can vote for any game past or present, but not for games yet to be released.
OK! First category to vote for: Best Gamecube Platformer! Get voting, the winner will be announced next Wednesday!

Would it be wrong to nominate Pikmin 2 for the like... ten genres it fits in?

I guess it would be wrong to nominate it for a platformer, as it's not... I'd say there should be the "Strategy/RPG" category, and it should be for that.
My vote goes to... well... I guess it's Super Mario Sunshine as well. I think I enjoyed Wario World just as much, but for a much shorter amount of time.
Oh well!

UPDATE: In the lead at the moment, as you probably know, is Mario Sunshine. And don't worry, there will be a fair few other categories later. Vote Vote Vote ;D

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle I was going to say Super Mario Sunshine, but it looks like it's going to win without my vote anyway.

If I were allowed to vote, then my vote would have to go to Wario World, but I can't, so I won't. Curse my own rules! Votevotevote!

Mega Man Network Transmission with Super Mario Sunshine just behind it. I also really liked Viewtiful Joe and Wario World but they both felt like beat 'em up/platform game hybrids and not pure platformers like Mega Man.

Yeah, good point. You know, on second thought, I change my vote to Super Mario Sunshine. Not that it matters much though, it's probably gonna win in this category anyway

OK Blueberry, your vote has been officially changed Time to make up another rule: You can only change your vote once in each category, before the voting deadline. This category's deadline is Wednesday (future deadlines will probably be much shorter, as I've just realised how many categories there are likely to be!)
