About the Rev, I've started to have some concerns after days of excitement. Here are they:
Loading time: This is the major thing that I hate about Sony's PS series. Loading takes minutes of time, hampering people to play smoothly. If the Rev uses DVD, that means....
Wireless controllers: The need to replace batteries is not a good idea. So what should be done? Having them rechargeable is also not good, unless your house is big enough to put 4~6 cradles, rechagring them simutenaeously. Also, wireless technology is no good to human body.
Gamecube support: where are you supposed to put the Gamecube discs in? Not everybody knows how to put small discs into a large disc drive. I'd rather want to see 8-cm discs in DVD-9 format instead of DVD-5.
Video output: The Gamecube has superior format for outputting videos, but the apeareance of DOL-101 makes me think of, will these great things stay?
Memory card format: Will it be in FAT12 or FAT16 file system and thus be readable by most PCs?
The + spaped control pad: Rumors are spreading that the pad may not stay. NOOOO!!! It's a Nintendo trademark, and it should keep its tradition. Also, this neat thing will come in handy for puzzle games, or in my case, even Kirby Air Ride.
Storage security: I only know how Hard disks and floppies work but not flash mamories, but are they secure? (Hard disks are, surely, unsecure, unless you are running it on RAID-1 or hae regular backup.)

I'm sure the loading times will be fine. Nintendo will have to make sure of that.
I personally hope they use a rechargable battery in the controllers. You wouldn't really need 4 (or more - I'm hoping Nintendo go with 8 controller support) cradles or cords, since I doubt you'd need to charge them all at the same time. I have wired controllerr for my GCN, but I know that I use controller 1 alot, no. 2 fairly regularly, no. 3 slightly less and no. 4 not much at all. Chances are they wouldn't all need to be charged at the exact same time.
The GCN disks go in the blue slot at the front, and I'm sure Nintendo will make this foolproof, so I wouldn't be conserned at all about putting it in a slighlty wrong place and making the thing stuff up.
I have a flash memory stick, and it seems pretty secure. I'd imagine that you could but backup files on your computer, anyway.
Dunno anything about video output, or the fat12/fat16 memory cards.
Regarding the + Pad, I guess Nintendo should keep it, but it needs to be upsized. I can't see how anyone can use it, its so damn small.
And of course the controller is what is concerning me, and also the download service (not corcerned - just want to know more)

Loading times isn't a huge issue. The PS2 and X-Box both use DVDs, and most games have insignificant loading times (sometimes comparible to the Gamecube's). The techniques to reduce waiting times have become more and more sophisticated, and I'm sure Nintendo has something up their sleeves.
Wireless controllers... I'm intrigued to know more, but I'm not going to comment until Nintendo unleash their controller on the world.
The drive automatically loads the disc based on its size. It is the FIRST drive to do that, as we have been told. So no worries there.
The Revolution will likely have the same outputs as other consoles. S-Video output isn't widely used by the masses, but the option is likely to remain in place.
The system has an internal memory with SD Memory expansion cards available... and as far as I'm aware SD cards are PC compatible.
The + pad has long been with Nintendo, but if they want to lose it then I won't cry. Its presence on the Gamecube controller is kind of unwelcome. I think I've only ever used it to taunt in SSBM... and that's in over 30 games. It's become dead weight, almost since the N64 was created (I wish the DS had used analogue instead as well!) I would, in fact, be a little disappointed if Nintendo kept it for nostalgia's sake.
Security will always be an issue. But it's too early to comment and worry about that. More input required.
The controller doesn't concern me... the controller excites me! It's something Nintendo strongly believes will change the way we interact with games, and so are keeping secret until the competition have finalised their console stats. It's the one thing we know least about... and while that may worry some people, it has me wondering what kind of wonderful plan Nintendo has in mind!

I'm just passng by, with some assessment to be done on the computer. I won't be here so often until 24 of June. Regarding the + Pad, I guess Nintendo should keep it, but it needs to be upsized. I can't see how anyone can use it, its so damn small. *Take a look at my Miniclassics* No. It's not that small. A bit bigger than the one I'm holding The Revolution will likely have the same outputs as other consoles. S-Video output isn't widely used by the masses, but the option is likely to remain in place. I'm talking about digital output, the thing that is not supported by DOL-101... I have BOTH types of outputs (progressive scan + AV output), which is a very rare case. Hope Nintendo won't forget people like me... The system has an internal memory with SD Memory expansion cards available... and as far as I'm aware SD cards are PC compatible. So what about SD cards with non-FAT FS? We can't guarantee that Nintendo won't develop a new FS~ Just like those Gamecube ROMs, they're in ISO formats (Or in ISO form, with .GCM as the extension), buy that doesn't mean that your PC can read it via virtual image drives. The pad... I use it in 3 games out of 8, that is StarFox Advenures, SSBM and Air Ride. I wished DS use analog too, but should it be left for some purposes like playing puzzle games? Security will always be an issue. But it's too early to comment and worry about that. More input required. Right... even Gamecube and DS have ROMs being dumped. Having something creative may be another way to anti-copy... Like WarioWare Twisted, if you play it on emu you can't have the feeling. That is, indees, a very brilliant way to anti-copy.
