Be wary of this one, as it was sent to me by someone who runs a website with news and pics stolen from other websites, and whose readers swear at him a lot (followed by much swearing in return)... he wanted to merge our sites... not a chance... anyway!
He says that if you shoot Kazumi Totaka's name four times during the credits sequence then his song will briefly play. I've given it a go, but only hit it three times before it scrolled off. Anyone else want to give it a... shot? Haha... me funny.

What!? I've just shut down my Gamecube 3 MINUTES AGO!!!!!
Anyway I don't think this can be true, since Nintendo claims that the credit shooting game does not have anything hidden in it.
But then, Totaka always has his signature tund being hid well. (Probably Mario Paint is the only exception that the song is to be found too easily.)
That's what I think: He sent this probably because he can only shoot his name 3 times ;P

Well, you could pause the credits by pressing B (if I recall). Let me check. Hm. I didn't know he was Yoshi's voice. Pausing it disabled my blaster, so I couldn't quite tell. I'll try again soon, though...have an E3 article to finish.

I knew the B Button disabled the blaster, but I managed to hit his name five times...
I even went one further and did the bit I missed first time round where he said you have to complete the game with Mr. Game & Watch. I hit it five or six times.
And guess what!?
Nothing happened. Not surprised at all. Guy seemed to be making it up as he went along.

Did you remember to play the game while balancing on your head using a indigo/clear controller in port 3 with Super Mario Land 2 inserted into a GB player? If not, then, well, duh. No wonder it didn't work.
