Yes, I know, another thread with nothing to do with Nintendo. Sorry So anyway, I was sitting in a comfy chair a little while ago, remeniscing (sorry for any spelling mistakes in advance) about the golden age of my youth, and the most I can remember about it is what TV I used to watch. So I decided to share my memories with you guys, and then you can share yours, and hopefully that might trigger some forgotten stuff in me My fave shows as a kid: Reruns of the Clangers the computer animated "Reboot" Moomins (damn those stupid hippos for warping my brain!) The original Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (and yes, I do like the newest version) Anyway, please feel free to share.

Yes, I know, another thread with nothing to do with Nintendo. Sorry Hey, this is the NinDB General forum, so it's allowed Anyway, the only show I can remember I used to watch when I was young(er) was Samurai Pizza Cats... I loved that show, and I still do... I've downloaded a few episodes a while ago so I can still watch it

The original Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles (as they were called over here) were much better than this newfangled stuff. I can't be having with all this dark moody stuff. And whatever happened to Raphael's cheeky comments? Now he's all like "Yeah, I'm gonna kill you", whereas before he would've been all like "Yeah, and your mother was a baboon"... or something. Anyway, precious childhood memories: The Mysterious Cities of Gold (I'm baffled as to why this isn't being repeated yet... it was the best animation on television) Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors (I loved this show... good machines vs. evil plants - Captain Planet in reverse!) And of course the usual culprits... Mario, Zelda, Captain N. Ahh, lovely. I even liked the old Sonic cartoons way back when I was a devoted Nintendo fanboy. You just can't beat Scratch and Grounder. I suppose in 15 years time or whatever the kids will be saying "Oooh Yu-gi-oh" and "Beyblades" and all that. Hopefully some of them will remember Pokémon though

I dunno, I like the new Turtles more than the old one, and I was a huuuuge fan of the old show.
Other good memories include... well... there was Turtles. And Gargoyles, which was a great show. I still consider it the best animated show ever.

DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Gummi Bears (gotta love old Disney shows ). Then later came Goof Troop, Bonkers, Marsupalami (sp?), Darkwing Duck and Quack Pack. I used to watch a lot of Super Mario World, too. Sonic the Hedgehog more than anything, though. Back in the pre-N64 days I had a Mega Drive because even though I loved Mario, Zelda, StarFox and Kirby, I loved Sonic even more. So I was one of the few people that was happy when the Dreamcast died. No more tough console choices! EDIT: Was Reboot the show where the characters had green skin? And two of the bad guys were a red robot and a blue robot? If it is, then that show was pretty cool. Until they killed off the main character and made the kid grow up. Then it got kind of weird...

Ooh yes, those Disney Shows were popular with me too.
As was Reboot. That was a strange twist when Enzo became Matrix. The series ender was pretty awesome though.

Gargoyles was definitely excellent. I'd be careful though, and say it's one of the best WESTERN cartoons to ever be made. Suffice to say, even Gargoyles can't stand up to many Japanese animations.
I watched Reboot. That was a cool animation, but I never really watched it loads. I'm kicking myself now because I don't suppose it'll get shown again any time soon.

Well, considering I hate Anime with a burning passion, I feel safe in calling it the best animated show ever. With it coming on DVD, I'll be able to watch it over and over again.

Gargoyles! Pretty good, even though I only watched the "origins" tv movie.
Samurai Pizza Cats!? Faint stirrings in my recollections... *goes and picture-Googles it* Ah yes! Again, I only ever watched a few eps.
But something I do recall more of is Captain Bucky 'O' Hare! I was reminded of it at a Boot Sale today *Tries to think of American equivalent of Boot Sale...fails to do so* It was great! Bucky O Hare was this rabbit with guns, fighting a big space war against the evil toads and their sinister computer overlord "Complex". Think of it as Star Wars, but more butch and for kids. Bucky had companions such as a four armed duck, a one-eyed robot called Blinky, and a kid from our world who had fallen through a dimension warp in his closet. I think I still have the action figures somewhere...

Kirbychu mentioned most of my old favorite shows...I remember waking up as early as the time TV channels strated trasmiting something on Saturdays just to get the first of every cartoon. This was before cable...the good old days... Actually, I wouldn't be able to live without cable today, but being in my grandma's house and it being the only place where I could watch Cartoon Network is a fond memory.
Anyone remember all those new Scooby-Doo incarnations they came up with in the 80's and 90's (and still today)? Those sucked ass. Shame on Hanna-Barbera for letting them ruin one of their best franchises.
