Looks real nice. Still think there are better choices than a Pianta, but I'm sure I'll buy it.

I thought you'd tell me to shut up or something DIU... ;D
But I still think soccer would be much better than baseball - soccer rules!
Anyways, whatever happens happens, hey? ;D

I'm not a huge fan of either Baseball or Soccer. My favourite sport (to play) is Tennis, which has already been done, and my favourite (to watch) is Australian Rules Football, which will never, ever be done, and, if it was done, would be so unbeleiveably awesome that the universe might just explode for no particular reason.
...Maybe.

Once I've watched Australian Rules Football, and I can tell why it's so fun to watch. However, I don't think there will be ever a Mario game concerning this. Too bad!

Yeah, theres no chance, unless Camelot moved to Australia, and, even then, it would have to be in Victoria, SA or WA, because NSW and QLD are both Rugby states.
But its better to watch when your team is winning - why I liked it last year and don't really this year.

Don't think it'll be Camelot again, considering it is now taking projects like Mario Tennis for GBA and the third Golden Sun. Camelot does not have enough staff to make more games

The way nintendo are going with these sports spin-offs, it won't be long until Mario Cricket is announced!

Oh please no... I so dislike cricket - played for 2 years at the start of high school... haven't looked back for the past 7 years... Terribly boring sport... There's a good chance someone in here likes criscket, so no offence...

Well, we've seen these characters in the video and screenshots:
- Bowser - Bowser Jr. - Wario - Birdo - Luigi - Waluigi - Koopa Troopa - Noki - Monty Mole - Baby Mario - Toad - Toadsworth (lol) - Daisy - Dixie Kong (Hooray!) - Magikoopa (Hooray!) - Mario (of course) - Peach - Donkey Kong - Shy Guy - Baby Luigi - Dry Bones (WTF?) - Paragoomba (WTF?) - Paratroopa - Yoshi - Pianta (Hooray!) - Petey Piranha - Diddy Kong
Anyways, this game looks very awesome...Dixie Kong, Magikoopa, heheheeee.... ;D

I thought they should put in around 50 (since Baseball has teams of 9 I believe) characters, but didn't think they would. Awesome.
Playable Dry Bones, Monty Mole and Magikoopa?! Awesome. A playable Goomba?! About time (not including the Goomba partners in PM and PM2).
Only thing I'll make a complaint about is Dixie - I have no problem with Dixie joining in, but if we see Kiddy, Chunky, Tiny or Lanky I will scream. Stop there, please.
So there are 23 characters left, eh? If Fawful gets in there I will love Namco forever.

Well, Dixie is easily the coolest of the Kongs; the others were pretty lame. Lanky in a Mario game would be...weird. I personally want Wart to return. He hasn't appeared at all since SMB2... Fawful would rock, too.

Looking at a couple of grabs in the GameFAQs forums, the character list looks like this: Captains: img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/minimoosefan/MarioBaseballcaptins.bmpBalance - Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Birdo Technique - Peach, Waluigi Speed - Yoshi, Diddy Power - DK, Bowser, Wario, Bowser Jr (power?) Characters: img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/minimoosefan/MarioBaseballcharacters.bmpBalance - Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Birdo, Toad, Shy Guy, Goomba, Koopa Technique - Peach, Waluigi, Boo, Toadsworth, Paratroopa, Magikoopa, Dry Bones, (?) Speed - Yoshi, Diddy, Baby Mario, Paragoomba, Noki, (?), (?), (?) Power - DK,Bowser, King Boo, Wario, Bowser Jr., Pianta, (?), (?). Note the addition of Goomba, Boo and King Boo who did not appear on the above list, but also that Monty Mole, Dixie, Baby Luigi and Petey Piranha do not appear. So it would seem we have 30 characters known. Also note that in the second picture P2 has apparently picked a (?) (which I assume means locked) character, yet has Baby Mario. Odd. EDIT: Toadette and Hammer Bro are also supposed to be in. So 32 characters known now.
