Famicom Wars, Super Famicom Wars, Game Boy Wars, Game Boy Wars, Advance Wars / Game Boy Wars Advance... The next should be DS Wars! But.... where is it now! ? I can't find any DS Wars avalible! Rather, I see Famicom Wars DS / Advance Wars: Dual Strike (also called DS in short). Why are they called so? The DS game doesn't seem to be a Famicom Wars remake!

Advance Wars: Dual Strike / Famicom Wars DS is the follow-on game to Advance Wars.
It is the next game in the series, if you like. So, I guess that would make it the DS Wars game... Is that what you meant?

If your issue is entirely over the name, the reason is probably down to the fact the series has been exported worldwide. I do find the Japanese choice of name slightly odd... and the US one for that matter... but it really really REALLY doesn't make any difference to the rock-solid gameplay or anything.

Famicom Wars and Advance Wars both have more marketable names in either country than DS Wars.

Ya I'm talking with the name.
Although Advance Wars or Famicom Wars are better names than DS Wars, I think:
1) All games in the series are named after the system, so it's odd if they're not called DS Wars or Gamecube Wars, although they sound odd.
2) Calling it Famicom Wars DS will make people think it as a remake. Nothing really for "Advance Wars: Dual Strike" though.

Battalion Wars has been renamed to distance itself from the "Wars" series. In an interview with Kuju the game was never intended as a follow up - consider it more of a spinoff.
As for Advance Wars: Dual Strike? Well, it's been said... it's a more marketable name in the west. I think it's a stupid approach, but there you go.
And AW:DS is out this month in Japan, so expect to see it in a few months in the US and Europe. Battalion Wars should be out by the end of the year.

I think DS Wars would sound terrible, but I like the little DS spin in the current title.
