Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz OK so Super Monkey Ball Adventure sucked, but now that Sega is actually under the helm, how will this one turn out? Well, from the looks of things, great!
The same idea it here: roll a monkey into a goal all the while maximizing time and collecting bananas. The new features is the Wiimote. Using it, you can tilt your mote to tilt the course. You can also jump in this games as well, which will be helpful for those boss fights. Theres also two new characters: Yanyan, a little girl monkey with a raccoon tails, and Doctor, who is a professor. Each character will also have there own attributes.
If that wasn't enough, multi player returns with 50 mini games. Some are a little simpler like Darts and Number ball, where you must find the ball with the correct number. Of course theres the "Monkey" games, like Monkey Boxing and Monkey Wars, which is a FPS with monkeys.
This games will defiantly offer some excellent muliplayers fun, anding simple and complex at the same time. Cant wait to give it a roll.

I found the VC list news first at www.gccafe.com, and then went to www.gamespot.com to confirm. I didn't find the Japanese list at Gamespot, but Masamune has a secondary link, so all is good. ^^ I did put that I summed up articles at gccafe.com in my original post, but I failed to put in the full address, so it might have got skimmed over for the juicier VC details. ^^

Super Swing Golf Super Swing Golf (a.k.a. Super swing Paynga golf) is a popular golf franchise in Japan for the PC. Now, with the Wii, Tecmo is bringing this popular franchise and giving it a little Wii magic.
Just as you thought, this game uses the Wiimote. One the bottom of the screen, there is a power bar that measures your swing. The farther you pull back the wiimote, the stronger your shot is. You'll be able to play in many different locals and with a whole lot of anime golfers
Now, the franchise is most popular for online play, however it has been removed for the Wii version so you'll have to rely on local multiplayer and the Wiimote unique controllers.
Since its made by Tecmo, expect so characters from Dead or Alive and Ninja Giadan to make an appearance. Hopefully, this will not disappoint as arcade golf games are just made for the Wii.

Australian VC Games are up www.palgn.com.au/article.php?id=5737We get Donkey Kong Country and Ristar, but NO Turbografx games. If thats due to some sort of copyrights or whatever hopefully Nintendo can get that sorted pretty quickly. Oh and 2000 Wii points is AU$30, putting NES games at 750, SNES and Megadrive games at $12, and N64 games at $15.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl The highly anticipated sequel to the best selling Gamecube game. This game wont come out for a while, but it already receiving alot of attention.
Not much has change since the last outing. Pick a Nintendo character and proceed to beat the hell out of each other. Theres some new fighters entering the fray. They are Pit, Meta-Knight, Zero Suit Samus, Wario and Snake. Theres also a plethora of courses, such as the Kid Icarus course with breakable platforms or the Mario Kart course with a Shy Guy race.
Now you may be wondering how the Wiimote will be used. well, it wont. Most likely we'll see the classic controller put to use in this game, but it has been said it could be used for a mini game. Also expect a larger single player mode.
Sadly there is not demo for this game yet, but we finally saw real game footage, and from what we can tell, we cant wait to play it. There is no official release date, but it will come out in 2007.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves WarioWare has always been about 5 seconds of fame and glory. Pushing players to do things accurately ASAP. Now WarioWare makes it on the Wii.
These Smooth Moves of Wario was are all about the Wiimote. You can do many actions, like the "Steering Wheel", which makes you hold the Wiimote like a steering wheel or "The Big Cheese" which makes you hold it on your waist. The "Pointer" has you holding it long ways.
The game is still the same. Beat Minigames under a VERY short time limit. Its the Wiimote function that makes this game. You are given a whole bucket of Minigame, all using ONLY the Wiimote itself. There also the Boss minigames at the end as well. And don't forget wacky multiplayer games in the vain of Warioware
Its hard not to get addicted to this game. Its odd and you like it. Now with the Wiimote it should become even better and its one that will make fans shake there wiimotes.

which makes you hold it on your waste. Actually, that wouldn't be all that ridiculous in a WarioWare game.

14 days left Mario Party 8 I bet some of you out there screamed for joy when you heard that there was no Mario Party this year. Well theres one coming for 2007.
So you may be wondering why I decided to feature Mario Party 8. Well, the franchise is getting the Wii treatment. Now you can play Minigames with your Wiimote. One game has you shaking the wiimote to shake a can of cola. One has you rotating it to raise a flag, and another has you trying to shot targets. As of now there have only been normal 4vs games and we Haven't;t seen the boards yet, but it will still have the classic 4 player fun
Not much has been shown. We know there are 16 characters with 2 new ones. Were hoping for an online mode and of course lots of minigames but as of know we know almost nothing,
When the Wii was first shown we saw demos and pictures of lots of people looking like buffoons swinging there wiimotes all around the room. Well Mario Party 8 may just be the game that makes them reality. Well see if Mario Party will get new life on the Wii in 2007.

Surely, there can't be many minigames that haven't already been done before in previous Mario Party incarnations?

They can probably do loads of very similar minigames, and then update them to work with the Wiimote. Oh the excitement for a new Mario Party is intoxicating!! </sarcasm>

They can probably do loads of very similar minigames, and then update them to work with the Wiimote. The sad thing is that will probably be the case - and it'll still manage to sell well enough to warrant yet another sequel, ad infinitum.

Heh, and I thought they were beating it to death when I heard about Mario Party 3.
The original Mario Party and Super Smash Bros both came out around the same time, and despite that I was going thru a cynical phase back then, I thought they were both creative and refreshing ideas for Nintendo. Now, with each series coming up on their respective eighth and third installments, we groan at the mention of Mario Party while wiping our drool off the floor when thinking of Super Smash Bros.
In the words of Adam Sessler, "It's hard to miss you if you don't go away."
