Dude... this post is like five years too late.
Shiek, by the way...
But seriously. Did you have to create a new topic for this? And couldn't you have put it in one of the GAME forums rather than in the GENERAL forum?
Seriously. Don't be a fool. Stay in school.

Well... do what you did here... but do it in the right forum. And do it five years ago. When people still cared what character you liked best in SSBM.

Isn't Jigglypuff female? I say that because Jigglypuff's alternate costumes are J'puff with either a ribbon, a flower or a crown, which seems to indicate that Jigglypuff is female.

Jigglypuff can be male or female... and there's no reason a male Jigglypuff couldn't wear a bow if it wanted to.

THE Jigglypuff (from the anime and SSB games) has always been of questionable gender. I suspect she's supposed to be female.

I had assumed it was female, since it came close to having a romantic scene with Meowth once... and he's definately male.
It wasn't an actual romantic scene... but it was only a few steps away.
If Jigglypuff appears in SSBB, I really hope it's "super" (or whatever they're called) attack is some form of putting everyone to sleep and drawing on their faces. ;D

I can see it holding that Marker-o-phone in it's hand already.

SSB has Pokémon animé influences, but the marker thing is way too exclusive of the animé. A new Pokémon move, Awaken Slap, has a similar function, but there are still other Jigglypuff's moves that look more spectacular, like Hyper Voice (that's only if we assume Jigglypuff will indeed reappear in SSBB). It's not that bad to assume the Jigglypuff we've been using is a female, since females were more frequent in the Gold/Silver/Crystal/Stadium 2 generation. And it's safe to say now that we're going to use a male Pikachu as default. So feel free to call him a "he". Pikachu and Pachirisu are some of the Pokémon that have gender diferences.

SSB has Pokémon animé influences, but the marker thing is way too exclusive of the animé. Pikachu's Thunder Jolt attack was exclusive to the TCG, but it still made it into both previous games. And it wasn't even something memorable. Jigglypuff's marker, on the other hand, is one of the most memorable things about Jigglypuff ever. Besides the song, of course. Y'know, I was really hoping that EVERY species of Pokémon would have gender differences, even if they were very, very slight... I guess I was hoping for too much there, though. I laugh every time I see a female Wobbuffet. ;D
