I'm sorry to double post, but I didn't know how long a single post could be Here's characters and summons. Shigeru--Original, he's the kid star of the game Equips: Beam sword Special Command: He can use Magic and Skills. Skills includes a lot of unique fighting abilities, like Taunt and Doubleslash Other Original Characters Here Mario--Super Mario Bros. Equips: Hammer Special Command: Jump, like a Dragoon. He can also cast Magic, but it's limited to Fireball-type spells, and a few variations of his Jump command. Luigi--Super Mario Bros. Equips: Hammer Special Command: Jump, Magic. Magic is also Fire magic and variants of Jump, but he also has access to some nicer magic spells like a few Thunder spells and some curative magic Peach--Super Mario Bros. Equips: Fans, Frying Pan Special Command: Heal, which heals the whole party for a small amount of HP. She also casts Magic, which is all white (curative) in nature Bowser--Super Mario Bros. Equips: Claws Special Command: BuildUp, which doubles the power of his next attack, and Magic, but it is limited to basically crap spells like Ravage, a weak fire attack on all, and Poison. Link--Zelda Equips: Nothing. He always has the Master Sword. Special Command: His Magic is a bit of everything. His command is Tools, where he will utilize any special item you've equipped him with (Hookshot, Bomb, etc.) Zelda--Zelda Equips: Scepter/Rod Special Command: White Magic, all very powerful. She can also Pray, which will cure all status ailments on the party if successful. Pit--Kid Icarus Equips: Bow Special Command: Aim, which is 100% accurate Fight on the enemy. Never misses. Also hits Flying enemies and the like. He can also Enchant, which gives his arrows magical properties. This uses minimal MP for maximum effect, making him sorta like a Mystic Knight from FF5. Kirby--Kirby's Dreamland Equips: Nothing. He just slaps them or something. Special Command: Copy. Kirby can't do anything else. BUT he can swallow an enemy and attempt to Copy them, learning all their skills, making him a cross between a Mimic a Blue Mage and Gau. He can get rid of Copy abilities with the Empty command once he's got somebody. This DOES remove the enemy from battle completely, so it doesn't work on larger bosses, and isn't 100% unless the enemy's weakened first. Samus--Metroid Equips: Various Beams. Special Command: She gets three, because she's special. Charge, which doubles the power of her next shot from her beam. Missile, which will fire off one of her missles (which she needs to replenish). And ChangeBeam, which will change her beam mid battle. Takamaru--Nazo no Murasamejo Equips: Katanas Special Command: Throw, which will toss any items, or loose money, at the enemies. Instead of Magic, he gets SwordTech, which are unique skills, sometimes magical, that he can perform in battle. Marth--Fire Emblem Equips: Nothing. Always has Falchion. Special Command: SwordTech, which are, again, unique skills. No Magic; instead, he gets Cheer, which will boost the power of an ally. There are others, but I'm running out of space Summons, quickly: Kamek or Kammy: casts a random magic spell and leaves Wario and Waluigi: pummel the enemies for money Toad: hits a ? block and gives you three free items Yoshi: tries to eat an enemy for you Groudon: Earthquake Kyogre: Surf Legendary Birds: Storm, which hits with Lightning, Fire, and Ice on all Legendary Dogs: Roar, which scares away weaker enemies Regis: Superpower, which blasts all enemies with nonelemental defense piercing damage Great Fairy: Revives all downed party members Balloon Fighter: Calls his buddies, and they pick up all your party members so they get Float status and others...

Heres another summon
Reggie Fils-Aime-Comes and kicks an enemy's ass. Can destroy a weaker enemy.
Fox may also be a good charactrer. This game sounds great. Will you meet up with Iwata and Miyamoto as well? Is the battle system real-time or turn based.

Haha. I'm glad you like it. It's turn-based, and yeah, Fox and a bunch of others I figured should be characters. Reggie summon would pwn I forgot to mention. The way the Nintendo characters work. Again, they come in and out as the story sees fit, and you may get to keep them or get them later on if you do a certain task. In battle, you have four characters fighting at the same time, and one is always Shigeru. You can have the other three be Nintendo characters, but the way it works is that you never have more than three on you at a time. The original party members will be with you and you can change them around in the menu whenever you want. But the Nintendo characters are busy, and can't always be bothered to quest with you. Soooo when you're not using them, but have them available to your party as a regular member, they will "wait" in the hub for you. There's portals around the map that will take you there, where you can dial up a character and they'll teleport in and swap with another Nintendo character you may have. But, again, you can never have more than three with you in your party at a time. Characters that are in your party, but not battling, gain EXP anyways, but not Nintendo characters in reserves. So you can pick your favorites and level them up as you please, and let others slack off, or keep hotswapping and keep them all even. Of course, the latter's pretty difficult, so go figure As for FMVs and the like, the Nintendo characters only appear if they're required for that part of the story. Just to keep it simple. In that sense, it's like most RPGs, where they don't show your optional, non-important-to-that-part-of-the-game characters in the movies. The Nintendo characters do make comments when needed, though. And yeah, I figured there would be "gurus" or "wise men" in the game who sit at a pub in Hyrule and spout off advice and jokes, named Iwata, Miyamoto, and Yamauchi. Other big names would cameo too, like Kondo, Yokoi, and Ando.

Bumb I guess
I had some more Ideas for this game. First the game will be in 2 parts. All I told you is the first game. The second will continue the story, which I realy havn't told you yet. The second acts mostly like a sequal but expands on the first one. Heres some worlds I've been toying with
Station Central(Main hub)-This is the main area of the game. Its a town that is famed for its train station. Its more of a town then Smash Stadium. It will feature taverns inns ect. It will function exactly like Smash Stadium but theres no stadium. Maybe there will be a world just for that.
Dozer World(Drill Dozer)-You'll have to fight the Skullkers here. You';; start in out in the Factory, then the Prison and the Doom Dozer. There will be another area, possibly Metal City. You can also go to the Red Dozer's base to rest up and buy items
Cosmo Land(Advance Wars)-Yep. Most just fighting the Black Hole army but you'll start fighting the Blue Moon. You can rest up and buy at Orange Stars base. They'll help you thoughout this world
Diamond City(Warioware)-This level might not have much. You will get to fight Ashely and Kat&Ana though. Wario Man is the boss of this world. I guess you'll have to fight Wario looking enemies
You'll also get to go bak too the Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule. Maybe another Wario place
Im also adding Pit and Wario to the character list. I might have another character. Im toying with Issac, Olimar or Lip. Maybe another power character. Lip might also have a world.

From the wide cast of characters, I think it would translate better to a Tactical RPG. For fun, I'd throw in unite abilities - especially if it will be redundant enough to have both Mario AND Luigi.

I thought about it but it might be harder to intirgate it. I mostly want an RPG where you can chose who you want from the get go.

I'm bored. I'm going to post a little bit about my once planned RPG.
After choosing "New Game" the following quote would appear:
"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think."
First World: ??? Main Quest: After the words fade away it would fade in on a boy sleeping in a small house. Pressing a button would wake him up. You can explore the house, but there's not much there. After exiting the house it would become apparent you are in an Animal Crossing town when an animal walks up to you. (I'm not sure what the town name is, or which animals live there. I would have probably gone with a few of my favorites. Billy, Coco, Wolfgang, Yuka, Nate, Mitzi, Frobert, and Eggbert had good chances.) The animal would greet you as Mark and start a small conversation. This would introduce the player to their character, and tell them a little about him. You then need visit Katrina. I'm not sure if she would see something in a crystal ball, or use her tarot cards, but she would tell you that your father, Professor Hector, is in trouble, and you need to "Find the Princess." You then need to return to your house where Mark will open a secret door leading to a room with a portal in it. Step through it to be transfered to the second world. Side Quests: Fishing, delivering things for the animals, maybe dig for items, shop at Nook's, and eventually a DDR-like mini-game when the Jam with the Band characters come to play with KK Slider.
Second World: Hector's Lab Main Quest:There isn't much to do now. Other than talk to ROB the Robot, who tells you what happened to Hector. He was sleep walking again and accidentally turned on the security systems in his lab. This has locked you out of the other rooms. All you can do is try going into one of the three portals in the room. Side Quests: None currently
Third World: Mushroom Kingdom
That's it for now. Maybe I'll add more later.

Glad this is bringing out everyones ideas. I love to hear them.
The characters I have chosen are
Mario-He's the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom. You know him you love him and now hes here in an RPG. Hes both humble and courages. He also loves pasta. His stats are well rounded with no glaring flaws
Luigi-Mario's younger brother. He's not as strong or as brave as Mario, but he'll get the job. He's not as strong as Mario but he has more Fp, speed and a dodge bonus
Peach-The beautiful and kind princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. She is usually the target of kidnapping, mostly from Bowser, but when she's free she enjoy's kart races golf, tennis and more. She lacks in both power and defence but, she has a good amount of FP making. She also has a few healing moves.
Bowser-The big bad koppa is king of the Koppa Klan. He usually kidnapps Princess Peach and some think he has a crush for her. He also sees Mario as his archnemesis(and Luigi too). He has the highest attack and defence, but he sacrifices speed for this overwelming power. His defend action command can also reduce more damage.
Donkey Kong-Although he started as an enemy of Mario's, they have since become good friends. He now resides on DK Isles with the rest of the Kong Family. He is also top foe of the Kremlings and King K. Rool. He has high attack, defence and a fair amount of speed for hi weitght class. He lacks in FP though.
Yoshi-He's cute, energetic and always happy. He(like most yoshis) enjoys fruit and cookies(but not any other sweets). He can swallow foes and turn them into eggs. His speed is his best feature but his attack isn't
Link-Link is a corages hero of Hyrul. He poseses the triforce of courage and pearless swordskills. He is also know as the Hero of Time. He's well rouned, but has hightened strngth and defence and a lower speed.
Zelda-The wise princess of Hyrul. She poseses the triforce of courage which is why she is persued by Ganondorf. She is also the seventh sage and has strong magic powers. He magic is high and has high FP. She'll eed it as she has a lower attack and defence.
Samus-A renouned bounty hunter, she wears a power suit made by the Chozo. She has seen a fair amount of dangers and foes(mostly the space pirates). Yes, she is a woman. She has good HP thanks to her suit. She, for the most part, is well rouned but has low magic.
Noxus-An intergalactic bounty hunter who attamps to rid the universe of evil. Although a good guy, he has fought with Samus before. He is stronger then samus, but slower. He has a good critical rate and a resistence to ice
Kirby-Kirby is a recident of Dream Land. He stands at 8in. tall and can swallow foes with his mighty suction ability. He uses this to steal an enemy's power and untilize it. He also loves to eat. Despite low defence he has outstanding HP. his FP aint so bad either. He can also suck in foes and use there traits to his advantage
Fox-The leader of mercenaries known as Starfox. He took over since his father died at the hands of Andrios. He is a tad iinexpecienced but shows great promies. He has very high speed. His attack isn't bad, but his Defence is.
Pikachu-An electiral pokemon and the popular of them all. He is a mouse pokemon who lives in the Veridien Forest, but he also appers for a Nintendo RPG. He has good FP and speed. Although weak physically, his electrical attacks are indead powerful. He also has rewsistance to electricity.
Marth-An exxiled prince who lead an army to deafet the Dark Dragon. He is a swift and deadly sword fighter. He is fast but lacks HP. He makes up for it with better counters then any other character. He also has a high critical rate.
Pit-Had of Petunia's royal guard. He m ay be younge but he is no doubt a rearless hero. He is quick but, like Marth, lacks HP. He does have a high dodge bonus.
Wario-He is Mario's greedy counterpart. He spends most of his time treasure hunting or making up scchemes. He has even produced his own videogames. He has a friends Waluigi and a "girlfriend", Mona. He is strong, but more well rounded then DK and Bowser. He has good HP. His lack of hygien has given him a resistence to poisen.
Ness-He is a psycic boy who resides in Onett, in Eagelland. He had to save the world from the evel Gigya using the power of friendship. He does well in both physical and magical combat but does not specialize in either. He does have all 3 elemental attacks
C. Falcon-A racer in the F-zero grand prix, and has been a winner multiple times. He is also a bounty hunter. Not much is known about him byond the fact he was born in Port town. He is both fast and trong but has low FP and mediocer defencce. He is also has a resistence to fire.
There you go. If you notice anything wrong let me know. Some character may be changed. I might remove C. Falcon, but I'm not sure.

What you should do is add more characters. Red and Blue would be sweet. They would be exclusive summoners.
And I still haven't been answered: what is a tactical RPG?
And Pikachu doesn't really suit an RPG when you don't own it... at least not in my opinion. Why would Pikachu join with them? It can't even talk!
And don't say it was in smash, smash has no story.

Tactical RPGs in a sense play out like turn based strategy games (think Advance Wars). Only with, of course, RPG elements of levelling up and so forth. They allow for several characters on the field at once (FE allows like 12 or more at times) and make for complex battles. Particularily of note is the presence of on-the-field conversations to make certain allies fight better together (or in Suikoden Tactics, learn Unite attacks). Typically if a character dies though, they die for good. Not always true though.

Well Pikachui stays for 2 reasons. 1) He is the Electric based character 2)I like Pikachu. A good amount of the game is taken from SSB.

Thanks Masamune. And it would be cool.
Smaschu, 1) There are other electric based characters, including Pokemon trainers 2) OK... but could you at least come up with a reason he joins them?
