Right... here's the list of franchises. Bold entries are ones I have done, am happy with, and will not change... normal ones are ones still to be done, or that need a final design idea. So, you're not going to nessesarily stick with the ones used in SSBM?
If so, I think the "Z" with a sword through it would work better for Zelda.

Eep, I hope you've saved them, because they need to be in GIF format to preserve the colour scheme. I've saved the vectors for all of them. So, that won't be an issue. |

Phew... I was hoping you still had the vectors for them... I've been doing that too, in case I muff them up in the final stages. Can you resize them so they don't go sharp at the edges? If you save the GIF as an exact copy then you should stay within the colour range (usually between 70 and 95 colours) so it doesn't lose any sharpness. Then it will look awesomeness. As for ideas for the blanks: I'm not necessarily sticking with the ones in SSBM. For a start, some of them are poorly chosen (the Mushroom for Mario), and some of them are too character specific (Captain Falcon's design). Quick run-through of SSBM's: Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Dr. Mario - Super Mushroom Yoshi - Egg Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Pichu - Poké Ball Link, Young Link, Zelda/Shiek, Ganondorf - Triforce Donkey Kong - "DK" Fox, Falco - Flying Fox Captain Falcon - Falcon Ness - Earth Ice Climbers - Eggplant Kirby - Warp Star Samus - Screw Ball Marth, Roy - Falchion Sword Mr. Game & Watch - Game & Watch Alarm Keeps: Triforce, Flying Fox, Earth, Screw Ball I've already replaced the Mushroom with Mario's "M"... and Yoshi doesn't have his own page, so ignore that. I'd like to change DK's, although a barrel would be better than a banana, as there are no bananas in the early DK games. F-Zero's needs to change if possible. Suggestions needed. Ice Climber's can change if anyone can think of anything. Kirby's Warp Star is boring, so can change (also to avoid clashing with other star-based series). The Fire Emblem is an icon in itself, so I'd rather use that than use the game-specific swords. Mr. Game & Watch's looks crap, and will change. As for other suggestions I'm not cutting out the Fountain of Dreams  And the Star Rod has been in Paper Mario now as well. Curses. I like the idea of a Djinn for Golden Sun. The debate for Pikmin rages on... |

For Pikmin, wasn't there a symbol that was on the flag of "Hocotate Freight" in cutscene no.1 of Pikmin 2? I can't be sure, and I may have just imagined a Hocotate Freight logo, but I can't go and check because I am temporarily forbidden to play any games for a while |

I still think the flower is better than the onion for two reasons:
1) It's a simpler design.
2) A flower captures more of the game's elements than an onion. Mature pikmin have flowers, the onions have flowers, pellets come from (among other things) flowers, and pikmin can be tossed into flowers.

Perhaps a 2-balloon design is better than a single balloon for Balloon Fight.
Also, a cowboy hat would probably work best for Wild Gunman.

I think the DK logo should be the same as it was in SSBM... after all, you see that logo plastered all over the place in most DKC games, it's on DK's tie, and it's even on the Donkey Konga bongos...
As for Kirby, how about using a Maxim Tomato?
