I hope there's an MMORPG that makes it more of a story.

There is no reason whatsoever that we need a storyline for Mario, let alone a game created for the sole purpose of having a flowing storyline for the rest of the games.

A Mario MMORPG should only be made if it would provide fun, interesting gameplay, not so that the on-going Mushroom - Koopa war can be explained in detail, or so that we can see the life of DK and DK Jr.

Story is an awesome tool in games, but not every game needs one. Mario is one of these games that doesn't need one.

I don't really think a Mario MMO would work.

But I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting a game that explains the holes in the Mario storyline. I'm hoping YI2 will explain the DK thing. Chances are it will just make things worse, but there's nothing wrong with hoping.


I believe Mario does need a story. What is one of the most important parts of a good story? Good characters. The Mario series has plenty of those. Then those characters have wacky escapades. Exactly what I want with a Mario story.

I had no idea the DK Vine was still around. Its amazing that any group of so-called Nintendo fans could hate all-things Mario so much... I remember one of the editors from there used to semi-spam the Rareware mailbag. They must be pissing their pants over "Baby Donkey Kong."

I dont think there needs to be a Mario story. The games are funj without one.
I also wonder is Baby Mario would have a movement ability.
