The ESRB has put out ratings for the following games for the Wii:
Punch-Out Pro Wrestling Kirby's Adventure Kid Icarus Hogan's Alley Wild Gunman Duck Hunt PilotWings
Sure, this doesn't make it official, but it does make it seem more likely.

There's been more revealed since then:
- Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Super NES; rated E for Everyone) - Kirby’s Super Star (Super NES; rated E for Everyone) - Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone) - Starfox 64 (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone) - Super Metroid (Super NES; rated E for Everyone) - Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (Super NES; rated E for Everyone) - The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone) - Excitebike (NES; rated E for Everyone) - Ice Climber (NES; rated E for Everyone) - Dr. Mario (NES; rated E for Everyone) - Mario Brothers (NES; rated E for Everyone) - Ice Hockey (NES; rated E for Everyone) - Soccer (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Awesome list. We'll probably be seeing most of these games Early 2007 during the lull in new games for the States. Definitely looking forward to it.

Disgusting. StarFox 64 should be rated M for scenes of Hot Vulpine Action.
"If I go down I'm taking you with me!"

It's rated by the ESRB, so I'm guessing these are US titles.

Well... we've been told that only games already available in our region will be brought to the VC (which is super-suxxors). Which means SMRPG probably won't be released in Europe.
UNLESS - it has already been translated (the original was nearly due for release in Europe when it was suddenly cancelled). In that case there's a chance it might still be released.
I would very much like Nintendo Europe to undergo a VC translation program and bring games to us we would never have otherwise seen. The original Fire Emblem and Famicom Wars stand out as needing attention.

When was THAT stated? I distinctly remember an article stating that the VC lists are region specific, yes. But only in the sense that there are different lists for the US, JP, and EU versions of the console, and you can't access the JP list if you live in the US in so forth. Not that there is no possibility of Nintendo translating old Japanese games and putting them on the US or EU Virtual Consoles afterwards. I have seen a lot of people still hoping for this feature, and it wouldn't make sense for Nintendo to completely close their minds to this possibility. Where did you get this news?

It was stated a few weeks ago - I've seen the news on Joystiq, a couple of gaming magazines... all over the place. Games that weren't localised for a particular region won't be released in that region.
I agree, it is stupid. But due to the flexible nature of the Virtual Console, there's no reason why Nintendo couldn't change their minds in the future.

Which, funnily enough, will be what Europeans scream when they remember the original Earthbound was never released here, so we'll never see it on the VC.
Then they will explode in a ball of flames. Just like their hero, Fox McCloud!
Best... death... ever!

Man, you are friggin' dense. Fry was just venting his anger about how only games specific to his region will be released there on the VIrtual Console.
PS: Good riddance.

I've heard Europeans can access the Austraila VC games by setting their Wii settings to Austraila. SMRPG over to you Europeans shouldn't be too hard, it's just a tweak of spelling, right?
Super Mario RPG should be enjoyed by all!
I also hope we will all enjoy EarthBound as well.
