It's the NeoGeo! Last console on the left column. As you can see, we can expect it this year. Metal Slug, here we come.

Metal Slug, here we come. Or you could just buy Metal Slug Anthology like I did. ;D Cool news, tho! Lots of good fighting games on the Neo-Geo.

What's the "PCI" in the upper-right corner?

That would be the PC Engine (aka TurboGrafx-16). You don't think those Neo-Geo games will cost 10,000 Wii points each, do you?

That's good news.
Is that Classic Controller icon there just to fill the space? I wonder what other system can likely have its games for the Virtual Console.

You don't think those Neo-Geo games will cost 10,000 Wii points each, do you? For that authentic Neo Geo experience!! Seriously though, this is cool. Does this mean they can ADD more consoles to the roster through system updates? If so..... [PS. (asterisk)homer(asterisk)] EDIT: 5000th post! Whooo! Rox to be me!

You don't think those Neo-Geo games will cost 10,000 Wii points each, do you? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Console#PricingIt looks like we might be paying around 800+ points (though i can't see where that information is referenced) seems fair as the console came out at the same time as the snes but i guess newer titles might exceed that. Does this mean they can ADD more consoles to the roster through system updates? If so..... This brings up new questions about whether the software emulators for these consoles are held internal wii memory or whether they are simply included with each virtual console game you download, OR the games have been recompiled from their original source code. Hmm. I'm going with the second one.

Hmm. I'm going with the second one. Didn't Nintendo say the VC was able to emulate any console including the Playstation 1? Or did I just make that up? I'm glad about the MSX. And I'm going to assume it's there just so that we can get Metal Gear in time for SSBB.

Screw the Neo Geo--I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Virtual Console needs Dreamcast compatability! ;D

Well, I wanted for Saturn, Dreamcast, Virtual Boy, and mostly GAME BOY!!!!!!!
It's a good thing to know, but then... the only non-Nintendo-system games I'm ever interested are Metal Slug series (which, with the release of Anthology, are no longer non-Nintendo-system games) and Saturn Bomberman.

Well, I wanted for Saturn, Dreamcast, Virtual Boy, and mostly GAME BOY!!!!!!! I don't know how you would expect them to display virtual boy games on the wii, maybe the sensor bar could be used as a visor? You ask the impossible, or at least the very unlikely. It's a good thing to know, but then... the only non-Nintendo-system games I'm ever interested are Metal Slug series (which, with the release of Anthology, are no longer non-Nintendo-system games) and Saturn Bomberman. However, saturn bomberman would be nice, maximum of ten players was it?

We might see PS1...assuming the Wii beats Sony into submission.

We might see PS1...assuming the Wii beats Sony into submission. I doubt that, even if sony did fall apart at the seams i doubt they would want to give nintendo the satisfaction of having more of their money. I would say that the file sizes for playstation games would be too large and would take too long to download over the majority of connections but i guess you could say the same thing about neo geo games so who knows?

Hm, if Gameboy was ever added, it'd be cool if Sega jumped on board with Game Gear games.
