A few comments:
- Super Circut is supposed to be good... if Intelligent Systems would just... pull their hands out of this... Their physics is really nasty I would say... - I hope for an option to turn items off. - What? Baby Luigi is hidden? (That is, if he is even there) - Gotta agree with TEi on the control thing, except I want to add that GBA being the worst ever (by "worst ever" I mean worse than Famicom/NES or original Game Boy) 3D machine can't really do much.

Some new info has from Gamepro.com says in the Vs mode you will be able to customise your options for certain settings. "With single-player races, you get a bunch of customizable options, including the ability to choose the type of vehicle for each race, stage options, the kind of items you want to appear, and how many wins to play up to. I like all these options because it gives you exactly what you want in your races. I've always hated that a last-place racer can steal a race by lucking out with a Lightning Bolt last minute, so this is where you can make sure that those kinds of shenanigans don't happen." First thing I'm gonna do once I play this: remove that wizzleing winged blue shell. Fixed. Personally, I feel that Mario Kart: Super Circuit is better that both MKDS or Double Dash. Mainly because, although the control scheme wasn't very good, at least I didn't keep on getting hit by blue shells twice every lap. That pissed me off no end.

The correct Mario Kart tier system puts Mario Kart DS on top and Mario Kart 64 on the bottom. Yes, Mario Kart 64. Its the worst. I know it, you know it, hell, even Mario Kart 64 itself knows it.
Super Circuits only downfall was being on the hardware it was on, as it made multiplayer matches a rarity. Other than that, I really liked it. Had no problems with the controls, there were some great course designs (haters be damned - stuff like Ribbon Road was great), and the fact that it had the most tracks of any Mario Kart certainly doesn't hurt.

Is there any specific reason why MK64 is so poorly rated? I think it's the best in the series (even though it did introduce the aforementioned atrocity known as the blue shell)!

So that starting cast confirms, in my mind, that Daisy, Baby Luigi, and Boo are unlockables. That leaves one more slot open since it's uneven. Any guesses? I would hope it's Toadette or Diddy, but my real money is on Petey because of the lulz.
This is definitely shaping up to be awesome. And it uses the Classic/GCN controllers? Sounds like she's following in her big sister Smash's footsteps.

^ Its split evenly into weight categories though, apparently. Since we know know / can fairly safely assume those 3 are going to make it, and Bubba Weegee and Boo are likely lightweights, theres probably at least 3 more hidden away too. Petey will have to be one, though.

Great news!!! Mario Kart Wii gets released in Europe on April 11th!! Also some sort of text chat support as well according to the official European press release. "In addition to all this a new Wii Channel, the Mario Kart Channel, will also be launched with Mario Kart Wii. Players will be able to monitor their ranking against others with data compiled from races completed online as well as also access and share Ghost Data to download. Why not see if your friends are playing by checking their status or even better still set up a room in which you can chat to them before a race starts? Players even have the possibility to join in on their friends races in progress as a spectator and jump into the race when the next course launches. Through this channel, users will be exposed to a host of new online features allowing them to join a community of racing fans from all over the world as well as participate in special worldwide events organised by Nintendo." And in the Mario Kart rumor section some info that supposedly comes from a Nintendo Power editor. WARNING Spoilers after link. Link.Is there any specific reason why MK64 is so poorly rated? I think it's the best in the series (even though it did introduce the aforementioned atrocity known as the blue shell)! The Blue Shell (technaly the Spiny Shell) was nothing like the Shell it is today, It seemed a whole lot better back then (in MK64) than today that for sure. Three reasons why. 1. It could not fly and would instead go on the ground and it would hit any kart in it's way to the kart on first place, which is pretty funny to see. 2. It way a whole lot rarer (but CPU karts could not get shells anyway) 3. You could hold it behind you like a normal shell and when you fired it at a wall it would die (just like a red shell). So would not work everytime unlike today's Shell.

HOLY hobo! THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!
SPOILERS!!!!!! (highlight to read)
-Not all of the drivers from previous installments will be returning from DD and MKDS. Don't expect any of the Pac-Man characters from the Arcade games.
oh well
-About 75% of the drivers are unlockables. There is a ridiculously large amount of drivers.
Awesome, very awesome.
-Hammer Bros., Toadsworth, and Dixie Kong are new drivers.
OMGWTFBBQ Dixie?! Suhweet!
-There will be an original character (possibly more than one) introduced in this game (similar to Toadette's introduction in DD.)
The suspense is killing me!
-Expect a major comeback from a past Mario character similar to Birdo in Mario Tennis as a driver (I'll keep this one a surprise.)
DK Jr maybe?
-There will be a new stage called Retro Raceway that pays homage to classic Mario games.
GAH! THIS IS TOO AWESOME!

Heh... Spoiler! Sorta! mariokartwii.com/showthread.php?t=1950 I'm calling it now, Foreman Spike or Wanda is a racer! (Refering to something in the thread linked 2 posts above. ) Sounds awesome. When is the Japanese version out? EDIT: Ooh, I didn't think about DK JR! On the thread linked, somenoe suggested Wart. That'd be cool too! Or perhaps Stanley the Bugman... Yeah, that about covers it.Double EditL It is Wart. Supposedly. And the Wario Bros. get girlfriends. Weird. Also, Spiny item Heck, here's his post. mariokartwii.com/showpost.php?p=53648&postcount=67

More info!
-The comeback character is none other than Wart from Super Mario Bros. 2. It is unknown if he will make any more appearances in future games. -There will be two new original characters. I don't have the names, but they are the girlfriends of Wario and Waluigi. I've been told they're really ugly and Wario's girlfriend is taller than he is. -King Boo and R.O.B will not be coming back. I've heard that Paratroopa will not be coming back from a different source but it's highly doubtful. Boo will replace King Boo. -Metal Mario is a secret driver. -King Boo and Metal Bowser (from SMS) are both bosses in Mission Mode. -There will be a theme park-themed course that involves driving on a rollercoaster. -There will be a Spiny item. It can be thrown as a ball at opponents and will then turn into a roaming turtle that will walk back and forth in the path. It may fall off the path if it is too narrow. -It was implied to me that there will be a completely re-vamped version of Koopa Troopa Beach from MK64. It's either featured as a retro course or modified to be an entirely new course, I'm not sure which.
On an unrelated note, I've heard from a most likely unreliable, separate source that there will be a Mario Party-themed track. That would be cool, but it's most likely a troll.

This is oozing fakeness. Wario has a girlfriend. Mona. I know Nintendo loves to screw with canon, but seriously? That's beyond screwing. Mona and an original Waluigi girl I'll buy, but that's just bull in a can.

Hey, TV Eye, the pic doesn't work. And according to Mario Wiki, Mona isn't Wario's gf. Its just been hinted she has a crush on him, or something of that sort.

Awesome. Game looks great! Gives some credence to the rumor too. I loved the people talking in the background of the video. "Stop that! Committing suicide is bad!" Lol.
