I'm really hacked of as to why games come out later in europe then anywhere else (with a few exceptions, of course).
I fail to see why nintendo can't send a version of the games code to both NOA and NOE (after they've finalised the japanese version) and let them start translating almost immediately. Then, we could have a (near) simultaneous release of games such as Brawl.

Blasphemy! Maple syrup is the only way to go. I might be showing my ignorance, but doesn't NOE have to translate the game into four or five languages. For example, my copy of Shadowgate Classic has the option to play in English, Spanish, German, and French if I recall. |

Depending on the game, it should only take 4-8 weeks for that to happen! (assuming that NOE have a team of translators for each language, which, I'd imagine, they probably do) |

Scandinavian pancakes are similar to English pancakes. They are often served with jam and/or ice cream or whipped cream, and sometimes as a main dish with a variety of savory fillings. Traditional Swedish variations can be somewhat exotic. Plättar resemble tiny English pancakes, and are fried several at a time in a special pan. Others resemble German pancakes but include fried pork in the batter; these are baked in an oven. Potato pancakes called raggmunk contain shredded raw potato, and may contain other vegetables (sometimes the pancake batter is omitted, producing rårakor). Raggmunk and rårakor traditionally eaten with pork rinds and/or lingonberry jam. Norwegians like their pancakes with sugar or blueberry jam, and they are often served with hot soup. Norwegians eat a great deal of rice pudding/porridge - leftovers from this can be made into small pancakes called "lapper".

Maybe its just the games I'm playing though. Speaking of which, I'm a 'bit pissed' that we, as Australians, have to wait for you lazy Europeans to translate your games before we get them. We get pretty much every DS game before you since theres no conversion involved, but for Wii games we have to wait for you. Thats crap. |

That might be required for a game that might need much translation such as the MK games. Also, apart from translation there is other stuff that does happen such as - Converting the 60Hz format to 50Hz for PAL regions. (Has to happen)
- Removal of glitches/bugs from JP/US versions. (Might happen)
- Slight modifications to the game to make it slightly better. (rarely does happen, Wii Love Golf extra costumes)
- Stuff added to game that was going to be in original version but ran out of time. (Wii Fit pet weighing feature found in all the non-JP Wii Fit games).
- Additional new content. (content in PAL version of Luigi's Mansion).
- Major additions (We Love Golf's online mode).
On the topic of pancakes, I just use maple syrup. |

Plus a couple of games (such as Metroid Prime 2) were released here as 60Hz only. The rest of the stuff doesn't happen frequently enough to justify anything. |

Geeze, you guys are full of resentment... I mean Nintendo's pretty much on their normal timetable as far as Wii games are concerned.
I think Wii has done the best for consoles this gen merely because Nintendo has goofed up the least. I have to admit, I am not a fan of handhelds, but handhelds are my next two choices after the Wii...
Compared to the Wii, the other two consoles are horrible choices. Even if it has the games, Xbox 360 is the most fragile console ever. PS3 meanwhile is $500 if you want some form of Backwards Compatibility, which I do, since I have a large PS2 collection and PS3 still lacks the games I might want.
It's ironic that I'm the one defending Nintendo, when perhaps, I am the least loyal TO Nintendo, considering I've owned a Genesis, PS1, and PS2, while they were popular and competing with Nintendo's console at the time.
Also, Pancakes with Chocolate Syrup are the best! It's like dessert for breakfast!

I've had a DS forever, just a couple months ago I bought a PSP and am loving it. |

There really is no good reason why English games aren't released in English territories before translation occurs. You think that happens with film? No... It's a wasted opportunity.
