Wow, I should really pay attention to the Advance series.

Well... I was against the Super Mario Advance series...
Now I have all 4 - what a backflip...
These games are awesome! So good playing the classics off my GCN... so cool...

I picked up the UK version of SMA4... but it's rubbish. Without the eReader support, it's nothing more than an easier version of SMB3.
Where's the Ace Coin challenge? On the eReader of course... Where's the new levels? Oh, eReader again... Where's the eReader? Sorry Europe, no eReader for you. Make do with subpar games that were supposed to make use of the expansions.
At least they're putting all the secret eReader stuff into Animal Crossing and F-Zero: GP Legend so we won't need it.

Don't worry, Animal Crossing will be coming to Europe soon.
Probably took a VERY long time to add in other European languages besides English.
...Now, I wonder if they'll release it in Australia, with the Seasons changed.

Australia's had it for months. But it's basically the US version in PAL format, including the seasons and the holidays. Apparently the European version is sticking to the US holidays as well. Oh well... no Guy Fawks night, but I still get to save the turkey on Thanksgiving

I like SMA4 despite the lack of e-reader support in Australia... I found the original too hard with the save function - if I can get my hands on the e-reader and the SMA4 cards, I'll play the levels and downright cheat by making Mario and Luigi hammer bros. and doing every level like that! I will do it I say! You can't change my mind on this - I wanted to be hammer Mario when I first got SMB3 on the NES, and never found the suit until All*Stars - now I want it in every level - it's just something I have to do. Don't hate me for it - I am only human after all.

I remember being able to carry through ANY suit to the boss of an airship and defeating them to get the Kings' secret messages. Now I always lose it halfway through. It's not that I've gotten worse... I've just gotten reckless

I'm very happy with my imported E-reader, as the GBA doesn't need to bother with all this regions nonsense (eg: PAL, NSTC). If only we were all equal....
P.S. Despite what Nintendo recommends, it does fit in my GBA:SP, so I can scan my Pokemon Cards in backlit glory ;D

Don't they recommend e-reader for SP?
Fryguy - there are secret messages?

If you beat any of the Koopa Kids whilst wearing the Frog Suit, Tanooki Suit or Hammer Suit then the King says something different to his usual. But they're so easy to lose

Yeah, true that. As a kid I could never get past the ice world...
I had to use whistles to check out the rest of the game...
And I always ran out of lives in Bowser's world until the save function in All*Stars...
Games used to be hard - now they just guide you through it and spoon-feed you...

i remember hearing somethign about the e-reader not working on the sp so they redesigned it, but it didnt have the ability to connect to a cube when in an sp.
thats all bollocks tho, as my e-reader fits my sp fine and you can still connect it to animal crossing... its annoying that europe is the only place that doesnt get the e-reader, even australia has it to tie in with them getting animal crossing a good year before europe.
sigh...

We may have e-reader (in Australia), but we don't get the SMA4 cards... Knowing this I am now angry with the SMA games - yes I am changing my tune again - I think I only like console games now...

I have the SMA4 cards. I was lucky, I saw them at Best Buy and bought 'em, and the next day they were gone. I've never seen any other packs since then. Then, a while later, as I was looking at my complete collections of cards, I saw I was missing Power Up cards 1 and 2 (which I'm guessing are Super Mushroom and Fire Flower). Then I later heard that to get those two had to buy the game at Wal-Mart! That made me mad.
But anyway, if there was a SMA5, I'd want it to be a remake of either Super Mario RPG or Super Mario Land.
