I would love to see some proper, full-colour, slightly improved versions of the Super Mario Land games. SML and SML2 would be awesome... and some proper title sequences for them. Like the kind of cool sequence from the opening of Wario Land 4... that was cool

That would be nice, but the SML games were just too weird. And since Miyamoto-san didn't have anything to do with them, I don't think it is in his plans to make them the next games in Super Mario Advance series, even if they seem to be most reasonable candidates.

He didn't have much to do with Super Mario RPG either, though. And the Super Mario Advance games are remade for the Game Boy Advance by Nintendo RD2 - another internal team that Miyamoto has little to do with.
So it wouldn't be any more weird Nintendo RD2 remaking a game by Nintendo RD1, than it would if Nintendo RD2 made a game by Squaresoft.

Some might be tempted to call SM64 DS to be the 'Super Mario Advance 5'...

Super Mario Land wouldn't be right on the GBA, it was already on the GB. It's too short to be remade on a system you can play the original on. That's almost like when Nintendo made Dr. Mario on the GBA If they do make it, it won't have e-Reader support because the e-Reader is dead (which sucks because I love the e-Reader) and the e-Reader isn't compatible with the DS. If I had to choose a game I'd choose SMRPG which I haven't played.

That's why I think Super Mario Land 1 and 2 (maybe even 3) should be included on the same cart ;D

Yeah, that's a good idea, but I wouldn't call it Super Mario Advance 5. I'd call it Super Mario Land Collection... or something more catchy.

I think it would be cool if Super Mario Advance 5 came in two versions.
Super Mario Advance 5: Peach Version & Super Mario Advance 5: Daisy Version
Peach Version is the remake of Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, complete with the Lost Levels and Boo Races.
Daisy Version is the remake of Super Mario Land but is given the "Super Mario Bros. Deluxe" treatment.
Link the completed Super Mario Bros. game to Daisy Version to unlock a new Mario 2-D game in Daisy Version.
Link the completed Super Mario Land to Peach Version to unlock another new Mario 2-D game in Peach Version.
Link the completed Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels to Daisy Version to unlock another new Mario 2-D game in Daisy Version.
Link the completed Super Mario Land Lost Levels to Peach Version to unlock another new Mario 2-D game in Peach Version.
Of course, both versions have the classic Mario Bros. game.
