Wow, I didn't know so many people were scared of video games.

Well, I love "scary" stuff... and by that I DO NOT mean gory or violent slasher type stuff - I like things that inuce genuine fear or uneasiness... (Call me twisted... ;D)
But seriously, scary is fun - I used to cringe at the sound of a haunting screem and run for cover when I saw redeads and such, and actually be frightened... now I still cringe and run for cover, but the difference is, now it's fun!
RE on GCN is great because it has that slow-paced horror feel to it - Zelda benefits the most from such moments when the fear levels go right up... and yes, ghost pirates would have been a nice touch...
RE4 looks very cool - why? For me it isn't the fact that it is an RE game, or that it is on the GCN - it's the because finally we are getting an atmospheric story-driven horror game for the GCN - it's excellent!
Has anybody here ever played "They Hunger"? - it was an independent game made as a modification of the popular Half Life game on PC - well, it had 3 parts to it and was by far my favourite zombie/horror game to date - it had a town and its surrounding countryside terrorised by the walking dead, and you had to fight to survive as you searched for a way out...
If RE4 can give this sort of feel, then by golly ("by golly"?) I'll support it...
We're supposed to be talking about Zelda right?

I've decided to face my fears head on: I plan on buying Resident Evil 4 *inserts scared but determined smiley here*
Anyway, being scared can sometimes feel cool; I guess its the adrenalin ;D

Andronicus, I 100% agree with you on RE4. I don't want it because of the branding (because that hasn't worked on me in the past), but because it looks like an amazing and excellent game...
And no doubt pants-browningly scary!
Perhaps more so than Ham-Ham Sports!

Haha, Pants-Browningly.
I've never been in that sort of situation where you have to go to the bathroom, see something scary or shocking, and you don't have to go anymore...

You can't have a (good) swashbuckling sea adventure without ghost pirates (or is that pirate ghosts?) Hah, you can't go wrong when you mix Korn and South Park. No one will forgive me for this. But I neglected OoT immediatly after... the Kokiri Forest! Then after some time I beat it in less than a month, and not at all since then, and I have spent more time on the Internet trying to figure out a way to fit the other TLOZ games in the timeline after this one than the time I have spent playing it.

Yeah, I think I've spent more time working out Zelda storylines than actually playing Zelda games... But then I spend more time writing about games on this site than actually playing games. But I have been playing games a lot longer than the internet's existence (as a public thing), so it has some catching up to do I was wondering how long it would take for someone to realise I was quoting from South Park. Probably my favourite episode, that. Or one of the Mr. Hankey ones.

The best South Park episode is "Scott Tenorman Must Die".
"We would tour, but we hate Scott Tenorman so much, that we don't want to"
Back on the subject, I have to confess that I never bought the original TLOZ while I had a NES (I didn't even know the series existed untill the late 90's!), and the first time I played it it was on an emulator. Didn't achieve much. It's hard to do with a keyboard. If I had only ordered the Zelda Collector's Edition disc... then I would have bought A Link To The Past+Four Swords and would have felt complete Zelda-wise.

Isn't that the episode when Cartman actually won against an enemy?

Isn't that the episode when Cartman actually won against an enemy? Yes, and it's just classic. "Nah nah nah nah nah! I made you eat your parents! Let me taste them! The tears of unfathomable sadness! Uhhmm, so yummy!"

Hahaha, I kind of felt sad when that happened because, you know, everyone is supposed to hate Cartman, he's supposed to fail at the end.
Back on topic, though, OoT and MM are great games.

Yeah, OoT is great, don't know about MM though, I've never played that... South Park is great too! The episode where Cartman buys a theme park is one of my favourites... Whoops, I'm going a bit off-topic again!

I have beaten Ocarina of Time five years ago, in which the version I did it on was the Gold Cart N64 version. I have also beaten it again on the Gamecube version over a year ago, but I haven't beaten the Master Quest version yet. I still have the Japanese Gamecube version of this game, but it's getting more difficult to find nowadays because it was only available to whoever pre-ordered Wind Waker (it happened in Japan and USA/Canada).

I beat The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time a few times. It was a good game, not my favorite, but still a respectable game.
