What Mario game was the first you played? I played a few Mario games in the arcades, but the first I played on a system was Mario Kart on SNES.

First Mario game I played was the VS. Super Mario Bros. arcade game, which I believe was set up in a general store near me. First one I remember playing properly was Super Mario Bros. on the NES.
Suffice to say, it had some kind of effect on me that led, eventually, to me being some kind of crazy Nintendo man.
I signed, but I'm not 100% convinced that Mario or Sonic deserve to go on the walk of fame... it should be their developers. After all, it's Arnold Schwarzenegger - not the Terminator - that gets to put his name down.

Yep, I added it to the comment area. Happy to see the videogame industry receive the kudos it rightly deserves, but give the wine to the inventor and not to his lightbulb, as I always (never) say.

Glad you did. I was reading some of the comments that were added recently and Sean made a good point video games are entertainment just like movies and tv shows so why not let them have a star? People seem to think they shouldn't cause they aren't real (well your idea takes care of that, by putting the inventors), but they have muppets and tv news anchors so its just not actors anyways. |
