Yeah, I heard that. You can still jump to later levels with the password. Why they didn't just put in the save system I don't know. Seriously... these VC ports are waaaay too lazy.

This is the first time I've actually played the original Kid Icarus (with the intention of beating it). The Gameboy sequel is infinitely superior. It's a shame that no one ever seems to remember it exists. I remember, and I agree completely.

Ah, so the password system is still there, then. Maybe my memory's fuzzy. I read it at work, so there's a good chance of that. I have both Kid Icarus games, and I can say I've enjoyed my time with the GB one more. Erasing the bottomless pits makes it a lot more enjoyable.

It's my birthday soon - so I'm being good and not buying anything until then. As much as I would like to properly play Kid Icarus.
What is it about a TV console that always trumps the PC for gaming? I think it's just the fact I can flop backwards on the sofa instead of being hunched in my computer chair.

I know! I spend so much time in this darned chair, that relaxing on my bed and playing a game is my way of relaxing. Playing a game in this chair is not relaxing.

Maybe because you don't have to be bound by wires or "lapboards", numerous compatibility issues, prices, or that thing they call "Windows". Oops, there goes a rant!

Theres always these people who say "Emulators is bettor Becuase it frwee" and I'm like "Conditioner is bettor, I makwe the hair soff and silkey".
Yeah, but I've played both and VC>emulators. They also are useless if your PC sucks.

Once I worked out what the hell that said I laughed - Billy Madison is awesome.
Actually, Fry needs to make a [/billy] tag that brings up the Judge's speech from near the end of Billy Madison, about how "everyone is dumber for having heard it". It would be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for this forum.

Huh, Most of my NES games are ones my dad bought before I was born, so I've never actually played this game, as he never thought kid icarus looked good.
Do you guys reccomend getting it for the virtual console?

Do you guys reccomend getting it for the virtual console? Being in the same boat as you (never having played Kid Icarus before), my own experience with the game lasted a few days before I got frustrated with it. It's the typical difficulty for an NES game--and since I never had one growing up, most games on that console are too difficult for me to beat. Even Megaman games. However, since you have more experience with the NES, you may find it more enjoyable and might actually beat it. I would give it a shot, in any case; despite getting so frustrated with it, I don't regret spending the Wii Points on it.

I'm actually not all that great at videogames, due to the fact that my motor skills are pretty much shot ( fine ones, don't worry I can do basic things easily, writing and beating videogames, not so much.) and I've never played it before, I probably won't be able to beat it. I'll give it a shot though, I have 10 Wiipoints left over from purchasing 20 to get Starfox 64, so I'll probably buy Kid Icarus now as you don't regret the spending despite not beating it. Thanks for the input.
