Seems like the plausible thing to do.

The theory that Donkey Kong is Donkey Kong Jr.'s son hasn't been debunked. More games refer to him as Cranky's grandson than as his son. Stranger theories have been proven: In James Joyce's Ulysses, Stephen Dedalus "proves by algebra that Hamlet's grandson is Shakespeare's grandfather and that he himself is the ghost of his own father." Ooh, perhaps a dissertation topic? I doubt anyone has yet compared Donkey Kong to Ulysses.

I don't know. The theory that DK is always the same just doesn't make sense to me. If it's true why do they always state the opposite in the games. It could be a lie, but why don't they point that out. Instead they just go along with Cranky. And if you can just say he is lying, what about other games? We're told Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link have the same Link, but it could be a lie. I just don't think it's a good idea to ignore something that's clearly stated by the game. When there's conflicting information(Cranky calls DK both grandson and son) then either go with the one used more often, used last, or both. Saying that both are false and something never said in the games is true just doesn't seem right. Although there is the DK trophy in SSBM...but I think other trophies have incorrect information. Anyway, whatever you decide to do is fine, but I just wanted to state my opinion on the matter. In James Joyce's Ulysses, Stephen Dedalus "proves by algebra that Hamlet's grandson is Shakespeare's grandfather and that he himself is the ghost of his own father." Ooh, perhaps a dissertation topic? I doubt anyone has yet compared Donkey Kong to Ulysses. 0_o

I'm happiest sticking with the DK is just DK and Cranky is a liar The whole DK thing is confusing me, so I'll just use this instead: DK = DK = DK = DK = DK........ = the one and only true Donkey Kong. And to say, if I'm going to write a character Bio, how long is it going to be? Are there any limitation? Do I need to go through the whole thing game-by-game?

I refuse to accept that the current DK is actually DKJr... while at the same time also refusing to accept he's DKJr's son...
When the Kong was updated by Rare, they simply confused matters by making Cranky the "original DK" - as I'm sure Miyamoto's vision was that DKC was a new adventure for his beloved creation... rather than one of his (apparently many) offspring.

I own DCK and his manual and there its quite clear that today DK is Cranky grandson and that Cranky is the original DK how battled Mario several years ago (but there is no probe that he is DK jr son, so he could be also his nepew) Cranky calls DK sony in the DK64 manual, but that all the reference to the son teorie(and I thought that that’s just a way older people use to refer to the youngs) the thing is, if rare whanted to make this fact clear why they didn`t introduce DKjr to the country series to make things clear . Now if someone knows japanese, maybe we can find answers here www.nintendo.co.jp/n08/a5nj/index.htmlor here www.nintendo.co.jp/n08/b2dj/chara/index.html

I'm not sure about those sites, but I used google to translate this site: www.nintendo.co.jp/nom/0002/01/family1.htmlIt says Cranky is the original DK and DK is DK Jr.'s son. The only thing I've ever heard Miyamoto say about DKC was that he didn't like it very much. Wouldn't it make sense the Miyamoto's DK is the Kong that is always insulting the game?

Now someone can draw Wario to go with this bio. You can't have a Captain Syrup page without a Wario page. Wario Wario is a greedy treasure hunter, entrepreneur, and Mario's rival. He supposedly was bullied by Mario in his childhood. To get back at Mario, Wario stole Mario's castle and scattered 6 Golden Coins across the Mushroom Kingdom for Mario to find. Mario kicked Wario out of his castle and Wario went on his on quest to gain fame. When the Brown Sugar Pirates lead by Captain Syrup steal an incredibly valuable statue of Princess Toadstool, Wario sets off to find it. Even though Wario defeats Captain Syrup and recovers the statue, Mario takes it back. Enraged, Wario continues his quest for fame and fortune eventually gaining some woods. He floods the woods with monsters and bombs attacking people who enter the woods. Toad was unlucky to be inside but he escaped the forest and beat Wario. Desperate for an army, Wario goes to Bomberworld to recruit Bombermen. But there is a Bomberman backlash and a huge bomb battle between Wario and Bomberman. After all of that, Wario decides to take a vacation in the Awazon River Basin. Wario sees some peculiar people with masks enter the Aldegara Waterfall. Curious, Wario follows them. There was a huge cave behind the falls with a vault filled with gold. Wario rushed to the vault but was attacked by the masked figures. Though Wario overcame them, the floor collapsed and Wario fell down into the Earth. He overcame the cave and stole the masked people's treasure. Wario separated Mario,Yoshi,Peach, and Luigi by dropping objects on their heads so they couldn't see. But, a fairy named Wanda foiled Wario's plan. To make matters worse Captain Syrup and the Brown Sugar Gang return and steal Wario's treasure. Captain Syrup fails again when Wario recovers his treasure and destroys Syrup Castle. Wario crashes his plane, the Bulldog, in a forest. He wanders aimlessly until he comes across a music box. But no matter how many times Wario wound it up, no sound could be heard. "It must be broke," he mumbled to himself. Before he finished that sentence he was transported to a temple in a strange world inside the music box. A mysterious presence told Wario that he had once ruled the world in the music box before an evil being sealed his power away in 5 music boxes across the world within the music box. Wario only helped so he could steal the world's treasure. When Wario returned the music boxes to the temple where he unleashed the power, the mysterious force showed himself. Wario had been helping the evil ruler all along. Big Boss Clown fought Wario but was overcome. All of Wario's enemies turned back into normal people. An old man thanked Wario for freeing them and sent Wario back to his world. While reading the newspaper Wario finds an article on a recently discovered pyramid and the princess Shokora who rests in the ruins. Seeing this as an opportunity for more treasure, Wario sets off for the pyramid. As Wario suspected, the ruins were filled with treasure. He ventured deep into the pyramid until he came across the Golden Diva. She tried to trap Wario in the ruins. But, Wario defeated her and escaped. Wario had gained so much wealth on his adventures that he decided to settle down into his giant castle. But, while Wario relaxed, the Black Jewel that lay under a pile of gold, transformed all of the treasure into monsters. Wario fell into a void and landed in a courtyard. There were 5 gates, two of which were opened. Wario entered the first to find a giant chest. To open the chest, Wario would have to find four keys to open the chest and face off against the jewel. He entered the second gate, then the third, the fourth, and fifth. Each time defeating the key holders and recovering his treasure through color coded switches. Once Wario got all four keys, he opened the chest to find the Black Jewel. Wario was no match for the jewel so he released 5 Spritelings to help him. After they use their magic, Black Jewel became fair game. Once again,Wario took back all his wealth and settled down. While watching television one day, he sees a report on video game sales skyrocketing thanks to the new game Pyoro. This gave Wario's ever greedy mind an idea. He set off on his motorcycle to make his own video games. But not without enlisting the help of some of his friends:Kat, Ana, Dr. Krygor, Dribble, Spitz, 9-Volt, Mona, Orbulon, Jimmy T,18-Volt, Mike, and Ashley. Wario still has much more fortune to attain. Did I miss any games?

A Kong ages faster than a human, or the apply Tiny Toons law on how toon characters age:
1.If a character disappears from the spotlight from a long period of time it will age faster. 2.A character that is constantly on the spotlight remains young forever.
(and thanks TrustTheFungus, thats exactly the page I was looking for)

Legendofnintendo, I believe Icy Matt had already signed on to do the Wario write-up. You should check the list on the first page before adding to it. In any case, I'm signed on to do the Wario drawing. I can get that up here sometime pretty soon. The Ness write-up is going pretty well. I've got 23 paragraphs done and anywhere from 6 to 10 more to do. For fans of EarthBound, I just finished everything up to Pink Cloud and have the later Zexonyte adventure done as well - I don't like working linearly. Anyway, that's all for now. Perhaps I'll get Wario done tonight and this Ness thing sometime tomorrow, or maybe even late tonight. Exciting times for an exciting project. Later!

Just thought I'd update. This topic got so quiet all the sudden. I feel like it's sort of my fault for being a little bossy. Sorry about that, Legend of Nintendo. My Ness write-up is extremely close to done. I had a bit of a wild weekend, so sorry also for not keeping my promises. I'm currently in the process of editing it down. Man oh man, when this is done, though, you guys'd better prepare yourselves for the biggest Nintendo Stars article ever. It's a little ridiculous. How's everyone else doing on their projects?
