Who would you want to see in SSB3?!?!!

1. Nintendo would be stupid not to release a sequel to one of the biggest selling games on the Gamecube.

2. It's just before E3, and at this time every year since 2001 it has been customary for Nintendo fans to speculate on new SSB action.

3. It's nearly the start of a new console generation... Nintendo has to have one killer-app ready... and why not SSB?

Anyone else find it odd that Nintendo hasn't used any of its fighting game characters in SSB, such as Sukapon, Fighter Hayabusa, Little Mac...

I guess you have a point there IceMaster. They should keep Captain Falcon and Ice Climbers for their originality. I posted up in another subject that they should take away Dr. Mario, Young Link, Ganondorf, Pichu, and Falco. But I still can't imagine Balloon Fighter as a new character. What attacks would he have. My opinion is that they put in characters who have a wide variety of attacks which are used in the games they star in (ex. All of Link's attacks are in the games he appear in.) Their attacks should be parallel to what they have done in their past games.

I agree with you on the parallel attacks, danipepino. Here's a list of attacks I made up for Balloon Fighter:

Balloon Fighter

A: Uses fists to punch enemies

Has 6 jumps (like Kirby)

B: Throws water-balloons (like Ice Climbers' Ice Shot attack)

UP + B: Attachs a balloon to enemy, making enemy float upwards, then balloon will then pop after enemy is supspend for 3 seconds

DOWN + B: Balloon Fighter will crouch and his Balloons will prevent any attacks from hitting him, however his balloons can only take 3 hits.

< OR > + B: Will hurtle across the screen hitting any thing in his path. Can cover over short distances.

If they take out any characters, it should only be Dr.Mario and Young Link. Ganondorf, Pichu and Falco should stay.

I just don't think Balloon Fighter is that interesting. Considering the other choices the have.

I'm not sure about Pichu... he's a clone, but I tend to use him more than I use Pikachu. In fact, Pichu is my second most used character, according to my records. I use Young Link more than regular Link, too. Maybe the clones should be left in there for preference?

Maybe give Ganondorf a Mewtwo-style fireball, and replace his up+B move with some sort of teleport. Maybe make him a little more like Street Fighter's M.Bison.

Falco is fine the way he is, because really, could he ever be more than a clone? Same with Pichu. Pichu is fine being a faster but weaker clone of Pikachu (which is how I imagine DK Jr. and Bowser Jr. would be implemented)

Oh, and one more character I'd like to see: R.O.B.

The way I see it:
Balloon Fighter floats around, and is most powerful as he does this. Opponents can attack him to pop his balloons. When one his popped, he moves slower, and his attacks are a bit weaker. If both a popped, he is forced to walk around, and basically becomes very vulnerable.
His attacks would inlcude the flipper (either it is taken out from the weapon list or he just has a "built in" one (like how Samus already has a Screw Attack), and I'd also imagine some popping star throwing. They would be strongest when thrown down onto someone from above, which is why he becomes weaker with one balloon and really weak with none.

My list looks something like this (characters with a * I'm not sure about):

I just wanted to add that anyone who thinks Pichu deserved to be in SSBM more than Jigglypuff gets a boot in the groin courtesy of me. Jigglypuff was my second most used character in SSB, and was even better in SSBM (though more choice meant less use). However I have NEVER used Pichu except to get his trophies. Rubbish. Kill. We don't need a Pikachu clone at all.

I don't use Pichu that much, but I think the little biter deserves to stay. He looks sooooooo cute in those little goggles in one of his alternate colors.
The only other Pokemon I really see being in the next game are Meowth (next most popular Pokemon after Pikachu/Jigglypuff in my mind, and he's cool) and Raichu (less likely, but would be interesting).
R.O.B would be so awesome. He'd be like Mr.Game & Watch, only with R.O.B. games for techniques.
