As much as I would like it, they'll probably never include all 8 Links as playable characters, rather just have an Adult Link and a Young Link to represent all of them. And why is it that people can only of Pac-Man as a possible Nintendo vs Namco character? I'd much rather have Klonoa, Taizo (DigDug), anybody from Tekken or Soul Calibur, or even obscure characters from Tower of Druaga, Genji & Heike Clans, or Legend of Valkyrie. Of course, I'm a geek, so I'd probably more about this stuff then most .

Well I really wasn't for sure about the other characters from Namco, pretty much because I don't know there names, but I would like to see them. I would like to see multiple Link's from the Legend of Zelda games, I say this because it makes sense, and it would be interesting to see what kind of weapons they use. Like the Link from LoZ/AoL would have different spells to use, and he could use a blue candle. But I agree that it would probably never happen.

I wasn't aware that Klonoa was a Namco character. I've never played any Klonoa games, but I do like the character designs. And that's good enough for me! ;D

I guess I should of included some Phantasy Star characters, and characters from NiGHTS.
Here is more characters from Sega: (From NiGHTS) Claris Elliot
(More Sonic characters) Metal Sonic Cream Fang Espio
(Phantasy Star characters) Alis Noah Rolf Rhys Chaz Rune
That is all of the Sega characters I can think of.

Fang the Sniper, also known as Nack the Weasel, is a character in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. He is a purple treasure hunter (or bounty hunter in the Archie Sonic comics) In the Sega games Fang/Nack is half-weasel half-wolf, not just a Weasel. He seemes to be obsessed with valuables and money. He wears a big brown hat, brown and white boots, and brown gloves with metal plates on them. The reason that he is known as "Fang" is because one of his canines is much larger than the other, another trademark of his. He has a long, thick, purple tail that he uses for bouncing on and attacking his foes. His signature weapon was going to be a black handgun, but Sega nixed the idea due to maturity isues. He even has his own airbike (called the Marvelous Queen) he uses to fly around in. He is one of the lesser known Sonic characters, but he does have many fans. He was also the first Sonic character to have a real gun, which may have been the reason of his disappearance from the games. Due to the new game "Shadow the Hedgehog", in which Shadow gets a gun, many fans believe Fang may return in future games.
This is the wikipedia entry on him. I said Fang instead of Nack because I think Fang was the original name.

Okay, thanks for the info.
Speaking of that Shadow game, I'm apalled at it. I never would've thought of seeing a Sonic character with a gun....

All right, after a bit of thought, I came up with who I think should be in SB. I've put them into groups on how much I want them. Group 1 being the ones that are essential, and group 5 being the ones I wouldn't being incredibly saddened by if they were excluded.
Group 1 Pit Little Mac Wario
Group 2 Captain Olimar Meta-Knight Diddy Kong Donkey Kong Jr.
Group 3 Lyndis King Dedede Meowth Waluigi *Advance Wars character*(Andy?Sammi?Max?Sturm?) *Golden Sun character*(Isaac?Felix?) Samurai Goroh R.O.B. Mike Jones (Star Tropics) Takamaru Aganihm (Zelda: A Link to the Past)
Group 4 Daisy Raichu Bowser Jr. King K.Rool Krystal *Second Earthbound character*(Jeff? Poo?)
Group 5 Wolf O'Donnell Black Shadow Louie (Pikmin) Dixie Kong The Super Punch-Out!! Boxer *Another Fire Emblem character*(Leaf?Ike?)

I totally agree with you but I don't see why Captain Olimar, Meowth, Samurai Goroh, Daisy, Raichu, Bowser Jr., and Louie (Pikmin) should be in the game, but that is my opinion.

I think the number of secondary characters should be slashed - not added to - as well, but I don't see why Olimar SHOULDN'T be in it. He is a Nintendo hero after all.

Well I can't see Olimar useing attacks, but, like you said, he is a Nintendo hero. I wouldn't be angry if he is in there, if he is good then I would be happy.

Give him some Pikmin to play with and he could be an excellent character. And he has more attacks than some of the characters in the SSB games. He can punch, for a start, which is one more move than Captain Falcon's ever used Where's me list... *digs around*... I think a good, well balanced set of HEROES would include: Mario Keep pretty much the same. Maybe give him a hammer attack or something. Luigi With different attacks to Mario. Everyone says give him the vaccuum, but I say give him electricity attacks and a 'poke' move, both from M&L:SS. ;D Donkey Kong Fine the way he is. Ice Climbers They were a good team, and the retro crowd liked them. Little Mac A Nintendo fighting character. All punch moves and sass talk. Marth A keeper, and a fine representative of Fire Emblem. ROB & Hector I've said this many times before. Hector riding on ROB. Perfect. Gyro attack, maybe give 'em a Zapper or something. Wonderful. Mike Jones Not likely, but he would make an excellent 'contemporary' Link-like character. Besides, maybe it'll provide Nintendo with a little incentive to make a new Star Tropics or something Fighter Hayabusa Little Mac has boxing covered, so Fighter Hayabusa can be the brutish wrestler. Sukapon Yes, Nintendo did make a real health-bar fighting game, and it's a crime that this cute robot has been eternally forgotten. Samus No brainer, really. Guns and bombs. Marvellous. Takamaru A samurai, with samurai moves and attitude. Also gives Nintendo a chance to have a token Japanese character (Marth should speak English now, dontcha think?) Link Make as nippy as Young Link, and as hard as teenage Link. Stick them in the teenage body. Pit Bloody murder if he doesn't make the cut this time. Kid Icarus's star needs reviving, and on that we all agree. Captain Falcon Aww, we love him. More sass talk please Fox McCloud He's got a few new moves and guns since we last saw him in SSBM. Maybe his moveset needs a complete makeover. Lip Another one for the ladies, I guess. The cute fairy Lip from Panel de Pon has a stick and no doubt many more cute attacks. Lovely. Ness Included if only to avoid mobbing by Starmen.net Captain Olimar Pikmin attacks and his Pikmin 2 added violence. Perfect. Alice See? Nintendo does have girl heroes without having to resort to kidnapped princesses. As close as we're likely to get to a Balloon Fighter character. Kirby What will he do with all these new hats? Wario YES! Perhaps second only to Pit as must-include character. All sorts of attacks possible. Red/ I'd rather see a Pokemon hero with a load of Pokemon-related attacks than an individual Pokemon. But I suppose Pikachu and Jigglypuff can stay as well (I love Jiggly). Isaac Golden Sun needs some lovin', and with psychic sword-wielders they would be perfect. Look at that: 24 excellent characters without having to resort to side-characters or making them up on the spot (I'm looking at you, Mr. Game & Watch). I'd rather see THAT list than any list that contains Diddy Kong and Meta-Knight any day. Honorable Mentions: (Probably won't even be considered, but worth a try) Sheriff, Mike Anderson, Bubbles, Mr. Stevenson, Mach Rider, Muddy, Starfy

Great list, I totally agree with you. I don't know about Red but it could happen. I think Mach Rider could be someone who can fight well, and he could have a move that allows him to ride his bike around (kind a like Yoshi moveing around in his egg).

I'm still under the impression that a human Pokemon character would be lame...the human Pokemon characters can't do anything other than use Pokemon to attack, and thus giving more reason just to have more Pokemon. It'd be a complete waste of space.
Now, Sukapon might be okay, but he'll have a very low chance, because really, people who have even heard of Joy Mecha Fight, let alone care, are a small minority indeed.
Alice or Balloon Fighter...I really have a hard time thinking how they would work. Wouldn't having a character who truly flies be unfair? And wouldn't having a character who should be able to fly permanently have to sputter down to the ground be kind of lame?
R.O.B....I think R.O.B. could be able to operate on his own. Some of the attacks would have to be made up, but he's a robot. In the end, robots always come through.
Finally, had I known that Pro Wrestling had a 'hero', I would have included him my list. Now that I know that PW does, he's officially apart of my want list.
in the end, though...there's no escaping that side characters will be included. And really, what's so wrong with that? Donkey Kong Junior is so cool.
