The last month or two, I've been addicted to finding info on the Strat-RPG Namco x Capcom, because I am a real sucker for crossovers of any type. Now, what if our favorite game company, Nintendo, decided to make a crossover game with another company? It's not so far-fetched nowadays, seeing as though the Big N has struck partnerships with Namco, Capcom, Square and Sega at one point or another.
So, who would you want to see cross-over with Nintendo?

Sega... because I'd like to see the whole Sonic Vs. Mario thing done officially.

Easily Sega. Imagine, Sonic and Mario going one on one. Yoshi and Tails duking it out. Knuckles and DK having a massive brawl. That would be sweeet.

I though of a game called Mario vs Sonic, all the sonic characters vs all the Mario characters(but it has to be even)

I think Nintendo VS Sega would be better though, because you have a wider range of fighters to choose from.

Problem is, most people can't even name Sega's other franchises...Virtua Fighter, Phantasy Star, Shinobi, Panzer Dragoon, Skies of Arcadia....

Mario Vs. Sonic would be nice, but just like icymatt said... Problem is, most people can't even name Sega's other franchises...Virtua Fighter, Phantasy Star, Shinobi, Panzer Dragoon, Skies of Arcadia.... ... and sadly it's true. However, I think Namco would be just as good! We can have Pac-Man fighting Bubbles, the Takio Drums (from Takio Drum Master) vs. Kirby, and Dig Dug against the Ice Climbers!

Sonic was supposed to be SSB Melee, but was dropped due to lack of time. One reason being the Dreamcast was discontinued in March, and SSB Melee was released in December.

I'd prefer Namco. Their franchises would fit with Nintendo's alot better then Sega's would.
A Nintendo / Final Fantasy RPG in a Kingdom Hearts style would be really cool, though.

I'm not really a Final Fantasy fan, so just a Nintendo Kingdom Hearts-style game would do for me.

Sega.
Nintendo and Sega are, no doubt, my two favorite game companies ever. They both made their share of systems, and their share of awesome games. And now that Sega's third party, that enables them to team up with Nintendo.
I mean yeah, they did help make F-Zero GX, but honestly a Sega vs. Nintendo game would really work out.
Sega has the most characters (characters good for fighting Nintendo characters)
Konami? Tell me... who is gonna fight from Konami? Frogger?
What I noticed was Nintendo doesn't have any real fighting games.
I mean yeah, Melee is a fighting game, but that's melee style fighting. I mean a real fighter like Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter, something along those lines.
If Nintendo were to ever release a fighter like that, then Nintendo could make a really good crossover game with Capcom, Namco, Sega, and others.
And in response to Icemaster saying Namco would work. I don't know... I could see Pac-Man fighting and stuff... but Taiko Drums? How the heck would they fight? But Namco could work too considering they have Soul Calibur and Tekken, two really hot fighting game franchises nowadays. But again, those are both "real" fighting games, not melee style.
Capcom could work in melee style fighting do to the fact that Mega Man characters could be in it. I'd absolutely love seeing Mega Man fight Samus.
But I think Sega would work the best with characters such as...
Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Shadow, Cream the Rabbit, characters from Skies of Arcadia, characters from the Panzer Dragoon series, Ristar (who I wish would make a new game..), Altered Beast, Vectorman, and Virtua Fighter characters (plus more of course)
And when I mean Nintendo making a 'real' fighting game, I mean them adding all new, original, characters.

Sega. Konami? Tell me... who is gonna fight from Konami? Frogger? Well, we got the entire casts of Castlevania and Metal Gear, the Contra guys, characters from Suikoden, Moai from Gradius(He seems to be in all of Konami's crossover games), the main character of Jikkyo Power Pro Baseball(he also seems to be in every Konami crossover), and the characters of Parodius, Twinbee, Boktai, Policenauts, Snatcher, and Pop 'N Music/Dance Dance Revolution(It could happen...). I probably missed a few, but those are the ones I can think of of the top of my head.

The problem with Sega is that many of their other main characters aren't as well-known (I know them, some of you might, but I doubt many gamers know who Gum and Honey are...who are from Jet Grind Radio and Fighters Vipers). Namco's not a bad choice either, but a lot of their characters (outside of Pac-Man, Tekken and Soul Calibur) aren't well known either...(of course, that's a matter of opinion)
Personally, I would love to see Capcom go against Nintendo. I've been doing a fan design (that's quite hefty...and needs a bit of revision) of it which is quite crazy...heh. So, I'll pick Capcom.

Well, I prefer just Nintendo by itself, but if they were to do this...
Capcom-I wouldn't want them. It seems like in the Capcom vs. games it's 25 Street Fight character + Megaman and someone from Resident Evil. That's just boring.
Square-Same as Capcom, it'd be Nintendo vs. Final Fantasy. Not to mention that they would only use characters from 7 and up.
Konami-This would be ok. But I don't think they would fit in with Nintendo characters very well. Of cousre I don't really play a lot of Konami games.
Sega-OK, this would work great. There are lots of Sega games that would be great with Nintendo. Plus we would get that Mario vs. Sonic thing that everyone wants so badly.(Why? We all know Mario would win.)

People know as much about Sega characters as Nintendo. Everyone has heard of Zelda, Mario, Kirby, Pokemon, Metroid... but any further than that and non-Nintendo players probably couldn't name them (if it wasn't for the SSB games I'm sure most people wouldn't associate Nintendo with Pokemon at all!)
Sega, I can name a small number. Their modern titles? There's quite a few to choose from. Classics? Hundreds.... nearly every Master System and Mega Drive game was developed and published by Sega (unlike the NES and SNES).
Anyway, Namco or Capcom would get my vote if it wasn't for a single factor...
ALEX KIDD!!
Sega wins.
