I have an exact transcript from Mustard of Doom's conversation: "I am Mustard of Doom! Soon you will know I have the guarding of the 67th gate! Your face is nonsense! It is like a sad doodle drawn by a person who is ugly! And now it will have the punishment doled upon it! MY SWORD HAS FURY!" And when you defeat him: "I...had fury..." And once Mustard of Doom gets back up: "Now I have failed to slather you in justice...but one day, the slathering will be mine! Be of f, awful person!" For reference: Mustard of Doom 1Mustard of Doom 2Mustard of Doom 3Mustard of Doom 4Mustard of Doom 5Mustard of Doom 6

There are Catch Cards for all fifteen partners from the last two Paper Mario games; I forget how you get the Paper Mario 1 partners. If I remember correctly, you get them for every ten floors you clear in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.

Ahh, yes, that's it. The first two are the last Pixl cards you didn't get from the Flipside pit, and then the last eight are your Paper Mario partners.

Another couple cameos I didn't notice here earlier...
If you go to the basement in Flipside and enter the back room of the bar, you can play four different minigames in a casino-type deal. One game has you using the Wiimote like a gun in an FPS; you're in the foyer of Luigi's Mansion and you have to shoot Boos, Dark Boos and Atomic Boos before they come close enough to the screen to damage Mario.
Another game has you using the Wiimote as a hammer to whack Striker Koopa shells for points; the background represents various, Game & Watch styled areas from Super Mario Bros., changing every 20th level.

Fawful is the Tingle of the Mario series - a tiny, tiny god.

Hi ! I'm Belgian ! So I play with the french version of Super Paper Mario ! And I found an amazing cameo ! ^^ When you go the Arcade, some kind of cube is waiting at the entrance. In the American Version, I think he's called "Retnet" or something. But, in the French Version ... He's called "Céga" ! Pronounce ... "Sayga" ! And he tells you something like that: "Je m'apelle Céga. Haha, excuse-moi, c'était plus fort que moi." ("My name is Cega. Haha, sorry, It was stronger than me.") Who referers to Sega's European slogan: "Sega, c'est plus fort que toi !" ("Sega, it's stronger than you !") And I think you've already noticed the Mother cameo on 7-2 ! But ... Isn't the Peach part of Francis (The geek) a cameo to Nakayama Miho no Tokimeki High School ? There is also a cameo of Chuck Norris who may not appear in the US version ! ^_^ One one the 100 fighters tells you that he is "Chuck Nourrice", "The King of the Kick in the Face !" ... >_< Hope I helped, although my english is not that good ! ^^'

Very VERY interesting! And I can probably check these by changing the language on my Wii! Hooray for Europe! (Your English is fine, by the way)

Pretty interesting stuff you've found. though I think the Peach and Francics thing is just a regular Dating Sim reference rather than Nakayama Miho no Tokimeki. And our English ain't that great either.

One one the 100 fighters tells you that he is "Chuck Nourrice", "The King of the Kick in the Face !" ... >_< That'd be Master Kickface in the English version. And as for references only in one given language, the German version had a very nice reference: "Ich bin R0XX0R, Leader des Clans "Tor 13"! Jetzt werde ich dich PWNEN!" (I am R0XX0R, Leader of the clan "Gate 13"! Now I will PWN you!) I love it, since it's the very first Internet speech reference in a German videogame that got it actually right. ;D
