In addition to all of the crap you've already listed, it is slooooooooooooooow. Sonic games shouldn't be slow. But it is.
You also don't do anything a hell of a lot of the time.

How is it sloooooooooow? And what do you mean by not doing anything?

Its slow - its basically walking speed. Yes, you can unlock rings to increase the top speeds and give turbo boots and whatever, but that doesn't excuse it from being slow to start with - I liken it to having a Mario game where you can't jump until you've reached level 15. Its basically the same.
And by 'not doing anything' I mean that a lot of the time (particularly in earlier courses) you just have to hold the remote in exactly the same spot as Sonic does stuff that looks fun (running up walls, through loops, etc) that isn't fun at all.

I only got it because it was half price. Tightass FTL.
But you're right Corey (Nester, whatever) - I should listen to you.

^ May I quote you an that? Personally, I didn't think Sonic was an awful game. Some of it was kind of a fun ride. (The, uh, Jurassic Park level, or whatever, was cool.) And the music and voice acting were bad in an awesome kind of way. Still, for me, a rental was just about all I really needed out of that game. I could see that fans would really get more out of it than anyone else since they would be passionate enough to dedicate their efforts into it.

Actually, the fans were angry that the game was so half-assed. We really want Sonic back on track.

Still, a step in the right direction. Half-assed beats Eighth-assed, which is what the rest of the 3D Sonic output has been over the last few years

From what I've seen, a lot of Sonic fans seemed to enjoy Secret Rings quite a bit. I think saimdusan and Smashchu are included in that. 3D Sonic does have a long way to go, but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Indeed, Secret Rings was a single step. ...Heh, heh! I kid!

I could easily point everything that would make a 3D Sonic game good instantly in one post, but I don't feel like it.

A good camera would be a great first step. Sonic Team has had a hard time with making a decent 3D camera ever since the first Sonic Adventure.

I could easily point everything that would make a 3D Sonic game good instantly in one post, but I don't feel like it. Would it be something like: - Get rid of unneeded characters.
- Fix the camera (something like LoZ:WW Perhaps?)
Hire competent voice actors.
- Kill the voice acting altogether.
- Have Nintendo Develop it ;D
- Make Original bosses (Shame on you Heroes)
- Use decent music
- Enough enemy's to keep Sonic Jumping
- No/Very Few Doors
And of course they should put my cute little pink block in the game ;D.

Better yet,
- Have more solid ground than pits. - Ditch the automatic dash pads and scripted ramp/loop sequences. - Have controllable springs instead of one-way springs. - No more chains of floating enemies that require homing attacks. - Scrap the homing attack all together. - Have Sonic not lose so much speed when he jumps. - Bring back the Super Peel Out. - No more enemies that take more than one hit to beat. - No more sections where to have to stop fully to beat a bunch of enemies or solve a puzzle. - Have Sonic spend less time flying through the air and more time running on land. - Have a lot of different momentum-based areas where you run on surfaces other than the floor. Have more uses for the Spin Dash and rolling into a ball in general. - Give Sonic a wider range of actually practical moves, such as an SM64-style wall jump. - Give Tails and Knuckles bigger roles. - Have places in the levels that are better suited to Tails and Knuckles' unique abilities, instead of giving every character their own "storyline". - Make the Adventure Fields expansive with a lot of optional activities and hidden levels. - Bring back Chao World and make it deeper. - Bring back and give good roles to older characters, such as Fang and Mighty. - Have a story that doesn't center on those god-forsaken Chaos Emeralds again. -Make the emeralds an optional bonus. -Have Super Sonic be playable in the levels as an unlockable.

How can it be good in 3d if it isn't 3D at all?
