I meant in reply to Deus's search for the powered-up racer... maybe in the NES version he has to knock loads of cars off, or a number of cars in a row, or specifically coloured cars.
I think you just said you used to enjoy knocking cars off.

For the skeptical... www.newreris.com/machrider.wmvYou can see the powered up racer here. This is in Mach Rider VS. Still trying to find out how to unlock it in the NES version, but I'm just about ready to give up on that. If you really want a higher res version, let me know.

Hey I believe you.....I got the super powerful Mach Rider as well but it was ages ago! I cant remember either how I got it....but it happended a few times and I think its got to do with how many of the enemies you knock out.

Well, I'll try what you suggested, although I've already tried knocking out lots...
I wonder, if you play it on a computer, would you happen to have any save states with the effect activated? It might be possibly to take the save state and find the way to get it to work.
And what mode were you playing on? Fighting, Endurance, or Solo?

I played it on a actual Australian NES console and sorry I wouldnt have a clue which mode it was on.
