Heh-heh! Y'know, as others have pointed out, there's probably more being revealed in these videos than we realize. Look at how the characters seem to interact with each other, or the symbols above their heads that seem to signify their moods. Maybe it's hinting that this game will have simulation like aspects, or be like a sandbox game. Or, as one commenter from GoNintendo suggested, the next video might be a Rick Roll. On the other hand, it's hard to be too disappointed when we've gotten three new videos in the last three days, and in all of 2008, we got absolutely nothing. The enemy interaction is an interesting idea and it seems like something SE want you to do considering the hero (Layle not Lyle from what I'm heard) can pick up enemies and throw them at each other but there's got be some reward/bonus/special outcome for doing stuff like that like it affects a morality/karma meter. Or maybe its so causal/newcomer players can get in there and let the enemy to enemy conflict happen so they can avoid fights/do less fighting, while hardcore player can play and beat the living crap out of anything that moves. With the TCB trailer from EoT, I noticed that when you lock on an enemy four arrows appear pointing up/down/left/right and I beilieve that by flicking the Wii Remote in one of the directions causes the player to throw an enemy in that given direction. EDIT: Rick Roll image removed. Image from NeoGAF. I have to admit when The Crystal Bearer site appeared on March 31st, I thought it was going to be leading up to a April Fool's prank on the 1st. Your right about the "2008 no new videos thing", but then again other FFCC games were coming out and that sort of distracted us from TCB.

"Don't Touch That Dial" video is up and well it's just Layle using his "powers" to change an image on a video screen and then a guard comes and knocks him over.
Next two videos are "Delusions of Grandour" and "Too Many Thrills."
I have to admit, the videos may not be much, but at least we get about 1 a day including weekends, remember how long it took to get new SSBB footage after the 2nd trailer?

I like that it shows fuzzy footage of the original Crystal Chronicles. That was a nice touch.
From what I've seen so far, The Crystal Bearers has a style that seems to be a mix of a little Twilight Princess, a little Skies of Arcadia, and a little Beyond Good & Evil. Hmm...

Delusions of Grandeur video.
Weird, but does raise more questions, is Layle dead, is he just faking it, or do you get killed in one hit?
Or maybe it's supposed to represent that even though he has awesome attack/offence gravity superpowers he is absolute crap in the defence department and is a "mortal" like everyone else.
Now the second next video is called "Bite the Hand That Feeds You."

I still think they're just showing off the AI. The enemies knocked out Layle, and then they celebrate. I guess those symbols over their heads indicate their current emotion.
TBH, since this video seemed to take a little longer to unlock, I thought it might be a little more elaborate. But whatever. Now that the game is making its presence more known, maybe it'll show up at more trade shows and press events.
BTW, Da Robot, did you ever pick up Echoes of Time?

BTW, Da Robot, did you ever pick up Echoes of Time? Unfortunately no. And from what I'm heard the price of the Wii version is $20 more than the DS version down here. (But I wouldn't have gotten the DS version regardless because of portability). It's hard to say if I'll buy it because game prices down here are crazy high (about US $60-70 for a Wii game down here). Also it takes ages for games down here to decrease in value, I got Elite Beat Agents for NZ $30 in late 2008 when it cost about $70-80 originally. The sad thing is that same store has WarioWare Twisted marked down to $50 and they don't seem to want to go lower than that and that's a GBA game from 2005! Also a basic Wii Remote costs $100 and a Nunchuck about $50 (though they do seem to be dropping to $40). I have to admit I haven't brought many third party games, currently all I have is No More Heroes and Tetris Party, unfortunately I haven't gotten the chance to play the latter because I am university for the past 8 weeks (but I'm coming home on Friday, so I can finally play it!). As you can see, money wise I have to buy good games to get my money's worth. List of games I got last year SSBB Mario Kart Wii StarTropics (VC) EBA (for cheap) and as christmas presents No More Heroes Disaster: Day of Crisis Advance Wars: Dark Conflict.

Ouch!
Well, word of warning: If you are interested in buying the Wii version of EoT, you should have a fairly large screen to play it on. I'm sure it looks just fine on a widescreen HDTV, but on my 27 in/68.6 cm standard definition set, the text is a little irritating to read.

The latest Crystal Bearers video: Too Many Thrills. I have to admit, that was pretty amusing.

Newest video up, kind of enteraining, then I watched again and released what all the dogs/wolf things did to Layle . . . That's gotta be a first in any video game.

Well, the Japanese version of the arcade game Vendetta (aka Crime Fighters 2) had dogs that try to hump you. I couldn't find a video of it, but they weren't the only enemies to do something like that.

So, Layle's a little like Spiderman now, eh?
Looks like we'll only get four more videos. I wonder if anything will happen after that.

"In the Nick of Time" video is up, just another example of the enemy AI in action really. Next 2 videos are "Love Train" and "Hot Pursuit."

Here are a couple of random things. Here's a Siliconera article in which the director of Echoes of Time, Mitsuru Kamiyama, talks about how the preset chat phrases are universal. Playing EoT online is an absolute blast. I think the preset phrases work just fine, but it takes a while to memorize where particular phrases are located. And here is a Japanese scan for The Crystal Bearers, apparently from Shonen Jump. It doesn't really show anything, but it's got some nice character renders.
