It was mentioned somewhere on this board, and I got the idea a while back myself, but I'd like to see larger, Giga-Bowser style boss characters for particular franchises that are not playable and appear randomly as the final boss for Adventure Mode. Depending on whether or not the character could fly, it would either be like a standard match or a Stamina match.
For SSB and Mario, Master Hand, Crazy Hand and Giga Bowser would return. Legend of Zelda would have Ganon (as opposed to Ganondorf), this way the old-school fanboys get their little slice of orgasm pie without sacrificing the awesomeness of Ganondorf being playable. He'd be smaller than Giga Bowser but a little slower due to the weight of his lance (or lances, depending on which version they use). He'd also have greater range, but his moves would be slower to execute. Metroid would get the Mother Brain in its transformed version from Super Metroid, who would be larger than Giga Bowser, but slow as sin.
Kirby would have Nightmare, Pokémon would get Rayquaza (thus the 3rd Generation gets someone to represent), Star Fox would have Andross (who would be different from the Hands) and I guess Fire Emblem would have some kind of evil dragon. F-Zero could get Deathborn, since the guy is capable of increasing his size.
Annnnnd yeah.

Arcadenik: I like the Eggplant Wand idea, but I'm really doubting Meowth's Party. Why would they make a stage out of a game that was never even made?
Tei: I think that idea would dissapoint more people than it would make happy. Fighting those guys would be badass, but frankly the temptation to play as them instead of fighting them as unobtainables is too great, and might eventually detract from the experience. Especially your "Ganon as an unplayable boss instead of replacing Ganondorf" solution. They don't just want to SEE Ganon in the game, they want to BE him.
At the same time, I think it is a really good idea. I just think it might backfire for a lot of people.

The F-Zero music in this game needs to be metal. I don't care how it's done--if a full orchestra can perform it and still make it metal, then it's awesome. None of this straight-out violins-and-trombones crapreserved for the other franchises; if I can't throw the horns up to whatever F-Zero music happens to be in Brawl, then it fails.

I had this nutty idea for an item. It's a "Hit Marker" or something. Grabbing it would summon Ouendan/Elitte Beat Agents and they would come and dance for you. This would up all your parameters as long as they are there. If the crowd crees you on, they do better, but if the crowd cheers on someone else they will do worse.

Apparently the newest item added to the list is an original one. I wish they'd take all those original items and change them aesthetically to be actual Nintendo-related items.
-Ray Gun should be changed to Zapper or a Blaster from Star Fox. -Home Run Bat should be acknowledged as an Earthbound item. -Motion Sensor Bomb should now be the mines from Star Fox or a Morph Ball bomb from Metroid. -Beam Sword should be changed to a regular sword from Fire Emblem or Zelda or even made into a Wii Remote with a beam coming out of it. -Acknowledge the Barrel and Crate as being Donkey Kong items. -Acknowledge the Food as being from Kirby.

Exactly!
But it looks like the new 'Gooey Bomb' won't be a nintendo-related item. Oh, woe. Seriously, we don't have made-up characters, why made-up items?

At least he's actually based on something Nintendo-related. Maybe "Mr. Game & Watch" is the new name for the random people who populate the GW games?

Even if you don't count Mr. Game & Watch, there's Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Sandbag, and Fighting Polygon Team.

And the Wire Frames, yeah. With the third incarnation of SSB on our doorstep, it's become abundantly clear to me that the SSB series is a franchise in and of itself; to deprive it recognition within its own confines would be hypocritical at worst, you know? So yeah, there's bound to be some original content to represent the Smash Bros. franchise itself. Case in point, the Menu 1 theme being mixed for the new Battlefield stage.
Although I do agree that the Baseball Bat should be credited as an Earthbound item. That never made much sense to me.

There's Giga Bowser, too. I agree that SSB has an identity and there's nothing wrong with made-up items as long as they're crazy and unique enough.
Speaking of the Beam Sword, didn't the Rainbow Sword from Kirby's Dream Land 2 look similar to that one?

I thought it looked more like the Master Sword or Meta Knight's sword.

They're too different. And SSBM's doesn't look like the Rainbow Sword now that I'm I seeing pictures (it's now single-edged apparently). Still the Rainbow Sword would be a nice replacement IMO, kind of like Dream Land's answer to Adventure's Star Rod.
