Okay, so we've got what characters we want in the game, so now let's go with other things like stages, items, etc. Pretty much something more of a "make your own SSB game" thread here. Mainly because this stuff most likely won't go into Brawl, but we can still dream.
Stages:[/u]
New ones (later), but first off: All SSBM stages, most with updates.
Princess Peach's Castle: Can't think of much here. If you know of anything, post it.
Rainbow Ride: The ship should last a little longer than that prior to the platform part.
Kongo Jungle: Make it a little bigger.
Jungle Japes: Can't think of anything.
Great Bay: When the Turtle is submerged, Gyorg (the boss of the place) can jump out of the water across the platforms to plow through anyone in his way.
Hyrule Temple: Eh, fine the way it is.
Yoshi's Story: Not a sorry "battlefield" anymore. More cloud lifts with rail-changing levers. A big all-out course altogether. More ground and more characters milling about in the background (in 3D this time).
Yoshi's Island: Bigger with more Spin Blocks and other areas. Accessible pipes, too. With the random getting shot out of the slanted one whenever going into one.
Fountain of Dreams: Fine the way it is.
Green Greens: Paint Roller would go around painting enemies on his canvas and let them out into the arena. Mr. Shine & Mr. Bright would change the "time of day" and attack accordingly from the sky. Heavy Mole would occasionally plow through the Star/Bomb Blocks. Other stuff to, can't think of it now.
Pokémon Stadium: Some more forms: Electric (with neon lights and generators and stuff), Steel, Wind (all sky/cloud-like), and Ice.
Bah, this is all I can think of at this moment. Stopping here now. Will post more later on.

I actually wasn't expecting that Stadium is coming back. Is was rather looking forward that they make a Pokeeman Colosseum. Also for the trophies: I think they should really make a game museum instead of trophies (and that Tom Nook is the shopkeeper to buy those games for the museum, so he actually gets a cameo . Also I'd like to see a "making of" extra DVD for the first limited/preorder version like Kojima is doing all the time with his MGS games. And as for a new Kirby stage: Bubbly Clouds where Kracko is throwing items at you ftw.

Looks like it's the exact same stadium in the videos - hopefully it will transform into different things this time though, otherwise it'll be crap. But I love your other ideas Sobmic! Tom Nook's shop (instead of a bland lottery machine) would be excellent, as would some Kracko action! I really hope that Sakurai isn't going to just update the old stages for the most part. If you think of each stage as being tied to a character, so many of the old stages can be scrapped now. I'd love a Bowser stage set on Bowser's battleship from M&L: Superstar Saga, I'd love a Donkey Kong stage set in a Jungle-Beat-themed stage... with so many new games over the last few years, it would be folly to recycle all the old stages just because some fans are attached to them. Mix it up! Get a little variety in your life

Yeah, the "recycled stages" concept should be kept to an absolute minimum, especially as we're going on three SSB games (I don't think I could take another Peach's Castle or Green Greens) and a lot of these franchises are simply so vast that there's a lot of other places to be chosen from other than what we've seen. I'm honestly not surprised we've gotten Mario Kart and Halberd stages before anywhere else in the Mushroom Kingdom or Dreamland, and it gives me hope.
I would like to see a stage based on Super Paper Mario; it'd have sort of a "Flat Zone" effect, only instead of the same characters just appearing as "flat" versions of themselves, they would be Paper Mario-styled; this way we can also have Paper Mario as a playable character. Would it happen? Probably not, but it'd ne nice.
I do like that Tom Nook idea, Sobmic. That's the best application for that character I've yet heard regarding SSBB--I think it would make plenty of Animal Crossing fans happy too.

Dude, don't forget this: many levels in SSBM were based off of SSB ones, just with more features. Okay, so Mario Circuit acts like Mute City. Maybe Rainbow Road as Big Blue!

Yeah, I haven't forgotten that. I also haven't forgotten that I've been playing all those levels for eight years now. I'm ready for a breath of fresh air XD To be honest, the only common denominator between Mute City and Mario Circuit is that there are racers on the track that can cause damage to fighters. I'd call Mario Circuit more of a Mute City rehash if the platform actually moved around the course--which it may yet do, but there isn't any proof that it will yet. Melee had it right with just three Retro stages. I think if Brawl does the same--three total, or maybe three from each--it'd be more than enough to keep fans happy. Me and my group don't really use the Retro stages in Melee for various reasons, and I'm not infatuated with any one particular stage from SSBM, so I could live even if they didn't do any Retro stages at all. (Really, the most outstanding quality from any stage in SSBM is the music, and I've got three CDRs and one live orchestra CD that covers those bases.)

Mario Circuit is Mute City, only that you can't fall into a pit. Also what we can see in the trailers most of the stages will be main platform, some smaller platforms and 1 or 2 obstacles anyway (I blame the people who didn't like the auto-scrolling stages ). And seeing that the latest Yoshi games were more like Yoshi's Island I doubt that there will be a stage modeled after Yoshi's Story. Also I always wanted to fight in the Great Fox's interior. Do you know what I just thought out? Let's make another Super Mario Bros. stage, but make it look like it's from New Super Mario Bros. this time. I didn't think out any good items yet, but I wish that the bumper comes back.

A stage set on top of the Giant Wiggler would be an awesome replacement for the Big Blue stage! I think I could live with the three most popular stages from SSB and three more from SSBM. But I don't care what you say - the selection of Classic stages in SSBM certainly weren't the best. I want the original Hyrule Castle stage! Music-wise, it would be excellent if there was a classic or retro remix "alternate" for every stage. SSBM got halfway there, but I guess they ran out of time or money. But the music was the one thing that possibly got played more than the game itself ;D

I'd rather like to see that they succeed in making the music fully orchestrated, on which they also got halfway there in SSBM.

If they brought back event battles they could use cloned levels that refrence the collision files for other levels just to five it a cosmetic makeover. E.G. Final Destination > Bowser's Platform SM64. I'd love a Donkey Kong stage set in a Jungle-Beat-themed stage Duran Kingdom FTW!

They haven't even given a stage from DKC2 yet. Bring on the Gangplank!

Well... I want a stage based on SMB3. That what I can think of for now about stages. Just a plain grassy stages with BLOCKS on it! MARIO BLOCKS of different kinds that nobody canever resist! And occassional enemies woul make things much better!
And I think the Adventure Mode can be widened greatly!!!!! Make multiple stages for each series and randomize it!!!!!

This is a kooky idea I thought of a while ago...but when I think about Miis, it could be a really cool concept:
Customizing Mii characters.
Let me explain. Let's say you could import a Mii into Brawl. However, to try to spice it up a little, you can "borrow" special moves from any character in the game. So if you want to be a lot liek Link, you can. Want to mix and match Samus and Pit? Why not? Want to include moves no one else has but are Nintendo-esque (like floating on balloons a la Balloon Fighter, or perhaps throwing a beehive from Animal Crossing, etc.)? Let's do it! I had this idea of using Nintendo's old "Who Are You?" ad campaign in a way of tying it into some sort of fan design chaos I had in my head, but the Miis could breathe new life into the game. It'd be pretty interesting if they decide to do something like this (even if it's not as open-ended as my proposal).

I've seen plenty of people think of similar, if not the exact same idea. I think it's a waste of development time and sorta kills the whole "Ninty's All-Stars" aspect.

Since everyone seems to be clamoring for Miis to be involved in Brawl somehow, and they don't have much in the way of fighting capabilities, they would best serve in a role similar to the Tom Nook idea Sobmic had--maybe they could "host" another section of Brawl, like Nook hosting the Trophy Shop. Man, why am I talking about this like it's actually going to happen? I'm so desperate for new facts it feels like even speculation is doing a world of good when it really isn't
