Based on the stages seen in the trailer, I have this feeling that most of the once established gimmicks will end up being switched from one franchise's stages to another's.
For example, we have a Mario stage but with a similar gimmick to the F-Zero stage.
Here's some of my ideas for this:
-Bowser's Castle could replace Brinstar. -Big Ape City or Port Town could replace Fourside. -Animal Crossing could replace Onett. -Rainbow Cruise could be replaced with Gangplank Galleon. -Wario could have a stage that replaces Flat Zone. -My "Wormhole full of Giant Floating Nintendo Systems" stage could replace Poke-Floats.
And for some franchises that are keeping the gimmick but changing the location of the stage itself, such as Yoshi's Story being replaced with Yoshi's Island:
-Jungle Japes could be replaced with Lake Orangatanga. -"Hyrule Temple" should be replaced by a Fire Emblem stage.

For a Zelda stage I was more thinking about a stage representing the very first Zelda where everyone fights on a chain of mountains and from time to time the old man would come from a cave and throw items at you.

If they want to keep Majora's Mask references intact, then they could scrap Great Bay for Clock Town's clock tower. My guess is that they'll end up having a Wind Waker stage and a Twilight Princess stage.

IMO it's time to give ALttP some tribute besides TP. Zelda 2 already got a BGM.
Actually a transformation between Light World and Dark World would be more drastic than one between Hyrule and Twilight Realm, but then again, I can't think of many other good ideas for TP than the one Fry mentions.

Bravo! As much as I love Zelda II, Link to the Past has been getting the SHAFT in the Smash series. Much like Mario 3 in the Mario games

We've had SMB2 last time. Maybe SMB1 & SMB2, alongside this new, hidden SMB3 level.

How much you wanna bet SSB comes out on VC when US/UK Relese is made for SSBB.

Whenever. I know I'm getting Smash on the VC. Then I'll have 3 for one system!

I always figured Nintendo would save up some key VC games to coincide with the general release date of SSBB: Kirby's Super Star, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario RPG, DKC2 and SSB all spring to mind, depending on which characters actually wind up in there. It kinda makes sense, you know?

Kirby Super Star makes a lot of sense, seeing is how a lot of things in Melee seem to be heavily based on that.
(I'm looking at you, Rest Stop BGM...)

VC releases coinciding with new game releases is something I'd like to see, but I don't actually think it'll happen, at least not often. Did we see a release of Paper Mario on the VC when SPM came out? And there weren't any Sonic games released on the service alongside Secret Rings, either (although since that's a third party game, it might not have been up to them.)
Also the aforementioned example of Kid Icarus already being out when they could have saved it for SSBB. We'll definitely get Smash Bros on the VC soon enough, but I don't think we'll get it at the same time as Brawl.

Kid Icarus needed to come out beforehand to make sure that people who didn't play video games during the 80's could find out who he was and start acting like Kid Icarus fanboys and defintly buy SSBB to show there fanboyisim for Pit. I exagerate of course. A small percent of the gaming population would accually do this but it would help sales slightly. There's a B missing in all your subject lines ;D

But what about the people who didn't make that much Miis? How about there is a default Mii set consisting of Sora employees if you don't have a certain number of Miis. For the last time, Sora isn't developing SSBB! All taht Sakurai said on the subject was that it was a new studio the core of which was another one that just finished a big game. Sora does not meet the criteria.
