What about something like a Floormaster or a Wallmaster from Zelda? It could run up and stop the other players from moving while the player who released it can attack them. 100th post!That is an awesome idea. Love it! |

I just realized something! Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but instead of picking up a leash or a discus or something to summon the nintendog, it'll probably be an assist trophy!
I want M-09 and Jill to be assist trophies. I used to want them to be characters, but they just suit assist trophies better. oh yeah, also lot's of WarioWare assists. Especially 9-Volt!

It has already been mentioned... by Sakurai in the update when he announced Assist Trophies. He said Nintendog IS an Assist Trophy. |

Sadly, I think a LOT of characters are going to be Assist Trophies after today's update. Sakurai has a "bizarre" streak when it comes to fighters, so all the other ideas like Jill and Geno are just gonna fall under Assists.

Here's another couple assists...
Jimmy: This master of dance and funk busts out his best and flashiest moves, stunning all enemy players nearby (think Mewtwo's Disable). This either stuns them once for a few seconds, or it only stuns them for a short time but he unleashes the move more than once before disappearing.
Mona: A stationary Assist, Mona will whip out a pizza box loaded with unlimited pizzas. She'll start throwing them at a variety of speeds and arcs, damaging anyone to get hit. However, if a pizza misses its target, it lands on the ground and becomes a recovery item.

Awesome on any stage except moving ones. Then you're pretty much cooked. Why is a character that can't jump a good idea, anyways!?

Maybe I'm going about the idea the wrong way. There should be a character that doesn't need to jump. Because.... the character is always above the ground! Balloon Fighter 4 Brawl!

Toad
Toad would defend the character who summoned him. Taking hits, he would toss vegetables, apple bombs, and bricks at players who come near the player using him.
Birdo
Birdo would appear on stage a la Blastoise, blasting eggs at the opponents relentlessly while moving back and forth.
Waddle Dee
Waddle Dee would float down on his parasol gently in the wind, not bothering anybody. When he touches ground, he runs off in a direction sorta like Marill, flailing his arms and hitting people as he runs.
Scruffy
Appears on stage hovering still in the air. But if somebody hits him, he springs to life and transforms, hunting them down until he can latch on and chew them to bits.
Reaper
Somberly walks bath and forth. If he gets hit too many times, he flips and jumps around summoning his Reaperettes to attack. They swirl around the fighters and taunt them, dealing damage here and there, before flying away.
Muddy Mole
Digs under ground immediately, then reappears underneath a fighter, knocking them off their feet while he looks around blindly to see what just happened. He repeats this about three times.
Coupe
Honks for the player to hop on, then the player gets control. You can drive back and forth, jump around players, and generally just hit and run. Not very powerful, but you're invincible while you're driving.
