When talking about the guaranteed hard-hitter of Kirby’s world, you’ve got to say something about his fists!Knuckle Joe appears!Vulcan Jab!A storm of Vulcan Jabs rain down, and then Knuckle Joe can finish his foes off with one of the following two special moves!Smash Punch!Rising Break!He’s... He’s strong. He’s been doing some extreme training, I think.

Yay! This is certainly one Assist I have no gripes with!
He looks REALLY weird with a mouth though, and I'm glad it only seems that way for his portrait, and he doesn't have it during gameplay.

Very cool Assist Trophy. The part that I like about this guy is that there are two possible finishing attacks. If they're chosen randomly, then this would be good because: - That gives him unpredictability
- It makes possible for other Assist Trophy characters or Poké Ball Pokémon to be that way. Some enemies, like Chargin' Chuck from SMW, also had multiple ways to attack Mario

Its a pretty neat Assist Trophy, especally with the two finishing attacks that Johans Nidorino said previously.
What Kirby game is from and what did he do though (boss/enemy) ?

He was a common enemy and Helper character in Kirby Super Star. I'm pretty sure he was in an assortment of other Kirby games as well. EDIT: Check out the image for Knuckle Joe on this page! The explanation for this new pose could be as simple as that being the animation that occurs when KJ pops out of the trophy, or perhaps he actually hunts his opponent down instead of just randomly letting out a flurry of attacks whether someone's there to retrieve it or not (which would explain why he's jumping in that picture, to pursue someone on a higher platform). Anyways, neeeeat.

This is cool, but I know what thores means about him looking weird. I don't think it's just the mouth either - I think the little chin and the fact he has quite detailed textures also contribute. Still, awesome trophy! But fairly mild for a Friday update (we've had some scorchers over the last few weeks - I was feeling spoiled)

Knuckle Joe looks a little different, but not bad. He's not the Kirby helper I would've chosen, but he's still good.

This makes me wonder if the idea behind the Assist trophies was based on the Helper feature of Kirby Super Star. It also makes it look like less of a Pokeball rip-off, given that they have multiple attacks and are able to actually go after the other players.

Does each character get their own assist trophy or something? If so...whose is Dr. Wright?

Mmm... Knuckle Joe. My favorite ability and favorite helper from KSS. Nice! Now one wonders if they'll add the others. I'm thinkin Waddle Dee whacking people with a parasol, Waddle Doo shooting his Beam attack, Blade Knight maybe slashing up a few people. Hehe... That game was so awesome

Yeah...this week has been a bunch of crazy. We got two course updates in the same week, and some odd ball technique.
Normally Fridays are better though, but this AT is pretty nice.

This image says one of 3 things. Again only 3 characters and the assist trophy are appearing on screen and all three are bing hurt by Knuckle Joe. So 1) Player turns into assist trophy, perhaps computer controls you? that would seem stupid. 2) the player who uses the assist trophy is off screen. Why are they doing that? 3) the player who grabs the trophy can be heart by it. By friendly fire option?

Why are they doing that? 3) the player who grabs the trophy can be heart by it. By friendly fire option? #3 could happen without needing to activate friendly fire (some Pokémon can damage you in SSBM). But those Pokémon caused damage indirectly, so I don't think that's the case anyway.
