It seems to me that they are using a lot of newly created enemies for this mode. Also, those scenes with the characters interacting and the Arwing fighting the Halberd remind of all the quick cuts from the Melee intro. I'll be Sakurai had this in the back of his mind for quite some time...

But I recognise the other enemies... I swear I've seen that pig spaceship before... but I'm having trouble finding out where!

Oh yeah, watching the video again --- what do we think about the clouds? Damn you internet nerds.

My head has just exploding. Twice. I am not suffering from pure awesome overloading, I'm enjoying every moment of it.
Just when you think Super Smash Bros. can't get any more awesome, Sakurai blows us away. Side-scrolling action? Character development? Hordes of aliens taking over Smash World? This game is going to sell out in a single day.

I laughed, cried, and wet my pants (urine, I assure you!) Rather than ooze on about how wizzleing great this is going to be, and why I need need need to buy a Wii, I'll just respond to Fryguy's post: I'm bored - so going to do a breakdown of these awesome-oh piccies! This screenshot seems to show Tros... It's not an exact match, but I can't find any other KI enemies it could be. It definitely looks like Tros. Wonder if those spikes are retractable? But damn this looks awesomeThis looks like a Jungle Beat character, but I can't find a screenshot of it anywhere. Can anyone confirm? I feel like I've seen that enemy. Wasn't that the first boss or something, a giant ram? Anyways, definitely a JB stage, and awesome at thatSamus is here, but I suspect this is a StarFox stage. Could that be a Pigma Dengar ship up there? It doesn't look like much else (although it is a little familiar). This might sound incredible, but that looks a lot like the ships from Rocket Knight Adventures. What's cooler, though, is that the astronaut is mimicking Samus's Charge Beam. Are they the Polygon Team of Brawl?Sword wielding spooks wearing helmets that look like Sir Kibble's armour from the Kirby games. But what are they? They don't look like a Kid Icarus enemy. Oh noes! My guess is they are a reimagined Kid Icarus enemy. There's no other explanation, in my mind. Are there enemies in the Japanese version that aren't in the English? They've done that before (read: Topis). Regardless, this is very remniscient of the Overworld stage in Kid Icarus (a large desert)Hammer Bros. Duh!! Why is a Hammer Brother on a DK stage???And Bullet Bills. Actually, this may not be the underground: it may be from Twilight Princess, that cave you traverse on the way to Lake Hylia. Maybe stages share enemies from other series So... let's get identifying! Yessir! This mode needs Co-Op. BADLY. EDIT: Call me your maker This shot confirms the astronauts are the Fighting Polygon Team of Brawl. They're all holding Pit's Bow.

Actually I was thinking those were more along the lines of a enemy in Metroid. Prime, I think.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *geekgasm!!!* This is the best update by far! Just--gahh. So excited, cannot talk! I think my favorite part was Peach and Zelda reacting to Kirby and Mario being in danger and then totally actionizing out into the battlefield. I really hope they have a lot of cross-franchise character interaction like that and the screenshot with Link and Yoshi.

It's the ram and the pig ship that are driving me mad! I know I recognise them! But from where! I know the Metroid enemy you're referring to. It looks similar... but I still think it's Tros.
I'm not entirely sure that these stages are clearly from any one game (except maybe the Greek pillar one with Pit in it). The one with the ram doesn't look like a DK level... and the underground and desert are too vague as well. The stadium also looks like an original creation. Hmm...

I've been thinking...
This adventure mode has a name, right?
What if there are other adventure modes too?

You know... looking at them, and despite the fact they don't have Eeleyes flying around them... they could pass for the Kid Icarus enemy Collin. Here's a list of enemies from the first game (sorry Masa, but the Gamehiker attic is down - or I'd be using that!)

Is there no reason those things couldn't be new characters to go with bucketface and whoever else there is?

That's LOSER talk! Next you'll be telling me there's no faces in the clouds, and you CAN'T see a reflection of a Star Tropics stage in Mario's iris!!

Dick and cock were censored, but as we have discovered with fuck, it will censor parts of words as well (eg. fucking, fuckbox, fuckass, etc.)
Which meant cockpit, cockerel, Dickens and dickmunch were all unfairly censored. Well, except dickmunch.

But I still can't write "The cocker spanial was in a cockpit with a cockatoo reading a Dickens book with a shitzu on the cover" So whats the point?
