But dude, they just DUB over that stuff. Birdo being a crossdresser, Vivian being a hermaphrodite, etc. etc. It doesn't matter to NOA; it doesn't have to happen with some creative text editing

EDIT: And regardless, it's not like they didn't let things like Jolly Roger from Banjo-Tooie fly under the radar. Kids won't get it and adults will laugh at it and get the humor. Frankly, the only people who would be playing Mother 3 anyways are those who are old enough to understand that kinda humor.

It's kinda silly to still think Nintendo censors like that anymore. Maybe they do, maybe I'M being naive, but I'd like to think Nintendo is really trying to shed that image and start pushing more mature material into their games. I mean, with games like Twilight Princess they really tried to bring the series back to the adult interest. Smash Melee was Teen rated in the States, and even Pokemon has gotten a bit more complex beyond kids' comprehension. The image is only there because people perpetuate it, not Nintendo.
