The design for Link is taken from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, so his special moves have also been designed a bit differently.<Side Special Move: Gale Boomerang>Gale Boomerang! The Gale Boomerang deals damage when thrown at an enemy, but when it comes back, it also lightly pulls the foe’s body.<Standard Special Move: Hero’s Bow>The Hero’s Bow! It’s fast.<Down Special Move: Bomb>Are these bombs made by Barnes?<Up Special Move: Spin Attack>You can charge up the Spin Attack!<Grab: Clawshot>All this and the Clawshot, too!You can use the Clawshot to perform life-saving tether recoveries by aiming at available ledges.
It was difficult to aim in the previous game, but this time it automatically flies to the closest ledge, so it should be pretty simple to use.Of course, it doesn't mean a thing if it can't reach its target...

FIVE moves in one update. Wow!
Nothing really surprising. Gale Boomerang and charged Spin Attack are pretty cool. And he says the Hero's Bow is fast. Does that mean its faster than SSBM?

I think certain characters will most definitely have a modified moveset based on their more recent games. I think we're in for a new move or two with Samus, though. Specifically, a move that will turn her into Zero-Suit Samus (yes Rob I KNOW this hasn't been completely confirmed yet, it's just my opinion that this will indeed happen). Also, I'm thinking Luigi in particular will have an attack featuring his vacuum, and maybe his fireball will be electric based instead of fire based. Also, touching on Link again, maybe some of his moves will be upgraded after all. His B-smash gaining the effects of the Gale Boomerang and his grabs changing slightly are the first changes that come to mind.Yes! I totally called it! Only modification I didn't forsee was the charging of the spin attack. Looks like I also called Zamus being a transformation too, I remember the board being pretty split in that opinion. Anyways: COOL! I wonder in what ways other veteran movesets have differed?

Yay! It's so nice to see Twilight Princess move upgrades for Link. I was wondering if was going to get moves like the Gale Boomerang and the Clawshot.
Well this proves that Link cannot transform into Wolf Link now.

I knew it! I knew it! I knew Link would get moves based on TP! Gale Boomerang and Clawshot replacing Boomerang and Hookshot!
In my opinion, it must mean Young Link has to be back and be cel-shaded like in TWW and get moves based on TWW! That's the only way to declone Young Link!

Yay, Clawshot my new favourite weapon. Im guessing you charge the spin attack by holding up and B then releasing? Link was already one of my best characters in melee, now I think the same for brawl! Of course no one can beat me with fox

Link's specials have been vastly improved, but I don't definitely like the homing grapples. Way to dumb down the recovery, you may not want to aim at the ledge.

I like it... means that using the hook for recovery might actually be useful this time instead of just difficult and ultimately useless when the Spin Attack gives you enough height and distance to recover anyway. ...Come to think of it, it'll likely still be just as pointless. But at least now it won't require you to have SUPERHUMAN timing.

I wonder if having to charge the spin attack means the move with be useless for recovery.

OMG CAN YOU CONFIRM THE NUMBER OF CHARACTERS SO WE CAN COMPARE THEM TO THE NUMBER OF AVAILABLE SPACES SO THEY MAKE PRETTY PATTERNS?

It's cool you can now charge up the Spin Attack. That was missing since the beginning, especially because holding a button was the only way you could make it in ALttP and LA.
I wonder how many of the Hidden Skills will be available via SSB regular moves.

I wonder why he gave all of Link's specials yet Pit and Fox and such only got two. Conspiricy at hand? So much for Link being an amalgamation of all Links...

Nice to see Link's specials. I always thought he's have the clawshot.
As far as four updates, not sure why he decided to do it now. Maybe he relized it would be smarter for veterans.
Predict stage tomarrow.
