"Only I have the brains to rule Lylat!" I never did beat that old Andross. I might have, but don't remember, but I do remember the fight. Ah, good times. I can't wait for all the newbies to be like, "Who is that?" I'd be like, "That is Andross." They'd be so confused.
Also, what would happen if you used that form of Andross against the N64 Andross?

N64 would win. You can spit as many titles as you want, but I gotz hands.

True Dat! Anyway, I was looking through my StarFox OST, and I found a track called Space Armada. So the stage's music is based on the SNES version of SF. Cool.

That Space Armada track is easily my favourite music in any StarFox game. The music, quality of cutscenes and just about everything in the SNES original provided such a wealth of cinematic moments that even the graphically superior N64 title didn't manage (and that none of those that followed came close to).
When the Space Armada mothership explodes, and it's a few seconds before you see your little Arwing silhouette burst from the cloud of debris, I was on the edge of my seat. Even though the whole scene used about 20 polygons ;D
I like the way they used "easy route" Andross though, as that's likely to be the only one most people have seen. Hard route Andross was a nightmare to get to, and had a few satanic qualities.

...Maybe I should get the original StarFox for VC next. DAMN YOU, FRY! You've piqued my interest!

Hmm... I wish I could see it better, it looks like a happy antelope skull in that screen.
I just found out StarFox isn't on the VC yet. WHAT!?

Hell, if it weren't for SSBM, I wouldn't know what Andross originally looked like at all...

I prefer the Lylatwars version of Andross, if only for the 'robo-monkey mode' bit after you destroy his hands and eyes.

That's also Easy-Path Andross ;D If you fight him on Hard-Path, destrying Andross' face and hands actually reveals that he's just a brain with a pair of googly eyes! It's much more creepy than this Satan-Skull Andross.
Then again, I started on the N64, so I think a lot of the stuff from that generation is better than what comes before it. That's just me though.

Strange! I tend to find the older a system gets, the more I love it. During the GC era I went on a big N64 kick, and I'm doing it again with Wii (the difference being I now have access to pretty much every Nintendo game I want to play without having to rewire my bedroom).
The original StarFox was better IMO, but I do agree that monkey Andross was slightly more impressive. But metalhead Andross has retro value (and in a way was more believable - the metal head was a telekinetic manifestation... his brain was still inside his head, inside that little cube).
