Kirby, Jigglypuff, and Dedede would be floaters, could they also glide? I doubt it. Their flight is/would be more like a balloon. Have you ever seen a balloon glide? One full of air and not helium...

Gliding requires wings. Or some sort of cape...

Balloons can't glide, they float. Gliding is much different, but for the life of me I can't think of a way to describe it right now. So you'll just have to BLINDLY BELIEVE MY WORDS!

Balloon characters such as Kirby and Jigglypuff puff repeatedly as they multijump. Is that a good description? Gliding characters such as Pit, Meta Knight, and Charizard spread their wings and let the air carry them as they glide. Good enough of a description?

Oh fer cryin' out loud!
Jigglypuff and Kirby float using buoyancy - the gaseous content of their interiors is lighter than the air around them, and by flexing their bodies they are able to drift temporarily.
The winged characters use air resistance, whereby the air passing both above and beneath the wings equalises out, and the weight of the character is kept airborne.

I think flapping/multijumping still exists, because Meta Knight and Pit still did it in the original trailer. Damn... Pit kicked Peach and Kirby to the floor as far as recovery goes. He gets 5 jumps, the power to glide, AND free flight as his Up B. They are really trying to make him the most popular character, aren't they? I don't think Pit has 5 jumps anymore. That would make him seriously broken. His multijumps may come from his recovery. If that is the case, then he can only recover from multijupms, and balances out his awesome recovery. Also, this is an awesome update. But like someone said, Ridley should probobly be doing this. I mean, he has a good shot at the game. It's not like you can't make him now.

Well, balloons can DRIFT!
That would be Dedede's forte alongside floating like Kirby and Jiggly do. Hold up on the Control Stick or the jump button down and he'll puff up like a balloon and drift in the way of the Control Stick.

Since Mario already got his cape as a (>B) Maybe they would allow him to glide to

Who knows what will happen, Sakurai's been using all types of drugs while he was making this game. He might decide to make Pikachu float too!

Wow, this is awesome. Flying, sorry - gliding as Charizard is going to be one of the best things ever.

Psst. Don't tell anyone. I'm here when I should be working :X
I could see others gliding, but think it's just ones with wings.

Regardless of all the hubbuberry, it's cool to see how many different little "movements" Sakurai's team is giving characters. Footstool Jumps, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, tethering is back, some folks can glide... Makes up for the theorized loss of wavedashing (which most people could never do anyways)
Now wouldn't it be awesome if they incorporated other little things like this? Like maybe certain characters can run on water or swim, or you can charge your jump a la Mario 2/USA?

WarioWare's Wario can gain a cape when he becomes Wario-Man. After seeing the complexity of the Chopper I wonder if he can use a garlic as one of the other 2 moves.

Well, he ate the rotten garlic to become WarioMan, and it wasn't so much a cape, as his feety pajamas...though they did have a cape when he transformed. Maybe he turns into WarioMan for his Final Smash! ;D
