Fox:I think he's having a seizure
Peach:Oh.......................but, it's still cute ^_^
Oh, and Tei, your avatar, is (dare I say it) awesome!

Haha, thanks Smash! I'm quite proud of it; it looks good and it was only a ten-minute job. <3 to it.
Speaking of <3, since it'd be lengthy to be "TEi <3s Falco, Black Shadow and Dedede," I'm temporarily abandoning the "<3's" for something far simpler and decidedly truer until Brawl comes out.

I have a question Tei.
If a returning Melee character gets revealed as an assist trophy... are you going to include them in your sig or are you just going to cross that square out or something?

I'd move one of the Newcomers up into the square that character used to occupy. That's my intention, anyway--I don't plan on keeping this sig past the Japanese release of the game, since it'd be a spoilerfest. I want to be kind to my UK bretheren and the people who want to use my Anony-FAQ.

i'd like to see King Dedede as a simi-clone of Kirby's. I'd also like to see Dixie Kong appear as Diddy's clone. As for returning clones I'd like to see Roy make a comeback unchanged, with Young Link being reborn as Cel-shaded Link, and Ganondorf being given his own moveset. As for Falco, he needs something to differentiate himself from fox.
Oh, and Tei, like the new avatar.

Jezz, whats with People wanting Dedede to be a Kirby clone. Just becuase he has a suction attack and can float (so can Jigglypuff) doesn't make him clone matterial.

And has a hammer... and can replicate all of Kirby's moves in some way without betraying his origins, except for the copy attack.
Face it. Dedede is perfect clone material.

Dedede works well as a clone, but he also has enough to his credit to work as an original fighter. I could really see him going either way.

Dedede could also have an attack that when he floats, he bounces on the ground. Like a balloon filled with air, not helium. Also, anyone he lands on takes damage. Just like in Dreamland.

But his air and smash moves won't even be close. He has moves similar, but i8t's like making Ganondorf a clone. Sure, it can work, but just becuase it can doesn't mean it should.
Clones are OK with characters like Falco or Lucas, who would be too hard to make new movesets for, and/or fight almost exactly like the original characters. Sure, Dedede's special moves are similar, but how will you replicate his throws, A attacks, running attack, and air attacks. Only 2 special moves work. Kirby's B (which would be changed) and his Side B (Only becuase he has a hammer). How would you do his up B. You'd basically made up an attack that never existed, when Dedede and Kirby both have moves they can draw from. Then theirs the Smash moves. The two characters move entirely different. Expecially the Up A smash. And how are we even going to do the running attack.
Everyone gets caught up one two things: some of the specials and the fact he can multi-jump (which Jigglypuff can do too, so it's not unique to Kirby). The Dedede clone thing is narrow thinking and a lack of creativity. Dedede has plenty of moves to use. Fliptroppa has mentioned him as a sumo wrestler, so his >Throw could be him slamming a character with his belly. ^ could be him hurling a character with one arm. And V can be him doing a belly flop on them. He has moves he can use, and would probobly be much easier to make him an original characters then a clone. Clones has been a virus on Melee. Hardly anyone likes them, and they take away from original characters. If we are going to use this resource, let's use it when it actually matters and not whore it out (for lack of a better term).
I'm going to make a moveset.....

King Dedede doesn't need to flap his arms to fly unlike Kirby, does he? There's one more difference besides the potential different special moves. I think he can be more interesting if he isn't a clone of Kirby

Smashchu, I'm suggesting that if it was a choice between having him as a clone of Kirby, and not having him, he could be in as a clone. I'm saying this because enough of his attacks are similar to Kirby's that he may not be included for purely that reason. He would be like Kirby's Luigi.
I'm suggesting that clone characters might actually be a way to get characters in who are too similar to existing characters. Hell, no way I want Takamaru to be a Link clone, but there I am in the first post suggesting such a thing. Because if it was a choice between him being a Link clone and not being in the game at all, I know what I would choose.
So calm down Smashchu. Although I would like to say that by saying his attacks couldn't replace Kirby's, you are yourself displaying a spectacular lack of imagination.
