DeMille was even mentioned in this Japanese SSBB prediction fan site, along with a few other Japan-Only characters like Prince of Sablé (a.k.a. Prince Sablé), Claus, Skapon, Takamaru and Stafy. As was 50 other characters that would never make it. Right, I saw several people interested in this fan site, and I knew these predictions don't affect any of the characters' chances. I also knew that some characters mentioned on that same fan site are confirmed, while some are deconfirmed.

Personally, I think Takamaru is very likely... The Samurai uses a Katana and nearly every sword-using Assist Trophy uses a katana. It's as if these popular characters didn't get in because someone took the katana-user spot.
Beyond that... I got to say Stafy despite how TOSE wants to keep in the shadows... It's a popular ongoing series. At the very least, a Stafy arena WOULD be very unique... Imagine an arena that's literally filled with water... It'd be a perfect showcase for that rumored swimming mechanic.

Well, it is possible that he might become a secret character (not an assisst trophy, praying...)

What name could Takamaru have if they translated it to English? I've never felt comfortable with how it sounds and I think it's worth it if he's planned to be more than a collectible trophy.

DeMille and Stafy are both contemporary, while Takamaru and Skapon are both retro. Lucas is a contemporary Japan-Only character, which probably decreases DeMille's and Stafy's chances. DeMille has eighteen Gimmicks and a rocket-propelled hoverboard. Skapon has about five special moves and plenty of basic moves. Takamaru uses a katana, some shurikens, fireballs/torches, a lightning-based explosion and the ability to make himself invisible. Stafy has: A spin attack that can possibly make him dizzyA sideways version of his spin attack called "Spin Attack Level 3", which I sometimes call it his "shooting star" move: This move looks similar to his "shooting star" move, which I sometimes call it the "falling star" move. Unlike the "shooting star" move, the "falling star" doesn't spin. I don't know what it is exactly called, but here is it's Japanese name: りゅラせいあたっく A move where he uses Kyorosuke called "Powerful Spin" ( VIDEO on the lower-right side) A move that makes a fairy-like creature heal Stafy ( VIDEO on the upper-right side) A move where he holds up a spinning coin. If heads, every enemy on screen is damaged. If tails, Stafy is damaged ( VIDEO on the upper-left side) And several things he wears or rides on: From Densetsu no Stafy 1From Densetsu no Stafy 3AND From Densetsu no Stafy 4 (with VIDEOS)

Basically you really really really really want Stafy playable. He'd make a good swimming character for Delfino and The Summit though. e: If he gets in he better makes that face when he gets hit (it's awesome)

Well, he IS a very special starfish afterall, right? I heard that he's actually a sky star, because after he accidently fell from the Tenkai Palace in the first Stafy title, several fish thought he was a starfish. *sigh* I wish that some people would translate all four Stafy titles, so people could understand the plots and feel the events in all four titles before seeing spoilers on the Internet. I also wish that translators would use euphemism instead of profanity.
