I guess Kirby isn't the only one with the insane comics.
But yeah the star's popular in Japan, worst I can imagine is him appearing as a regular trophy.
yeah but what I meant was he's popular enough to atleast show up as a trophy VVV

I believe it would be worse for him to appear as a Sticker than a regular Trophy, because each regular Trophy contains information about the character(s), place(s) or thing(s). Stickers are just plain images.

Stafy would probably be playable as he has cameoed in three NA released games. And besides, he has that funky cutesy appeal.
And I still think Takamaru is playable. He has yet to appear as an Assist Trophy, Sakurai has commented on him, and the character and game are pretty fondly recalled in Japan. Plus he has uber-potential for being redesigned and given a legit seiyuu, a la Pit. C'mon: that'd be awesome.

True, with the epileptic seizures! Hoo-boy, there's a lot of potential characters, if only there could be a character maker...

Character Maker would suck IMO
But I still don't see Starfy making it. TOSE is a behind-the-scenes company and probably wouldn't want Starfy in it, as cool as it would be.

That's true, but TOSE showed their name in the credits of the Game & Watch Gallery series and Super Princess Peach, as well as the Densetsu no Stafy series. Also, TOSE is only behind-the-scenes of most other games. If TOSE was behind-the-scenes of the Stafy series, then Stafy wouldn't have appeared in M&L: SS or Super Princess Peach. Also, Wario wouldn't have appeared in Stafy 3.

Most being 99.9% But I don't think there will be many Japanese only characters. Sakurai is not against them, but it seems he's more towards worldwide characters, so characters like Starfy and DeMille will probably get thrown to the side.

Just face it. Lucas is all we're getting. Stafy/Demille/Takamaru will be in at most as assist trophies.

In SSB64, there were zero Japan-Only characters. In SSBM, there were two. In SSBB, there's probably going to be two or three. Four is slightly too many.
Marth would probably be a Future Release character, instead of a Japan-Only character. Even though, he has appeared in SSBM, which was released worldwide, SSB series appearances don't count, unless if he appeared in SSBB, while his regular Trophy description said he first appeared in it.
If Sakurai said something about Takamaru and Skapon, then what about the other Japan-Only characters?

If Sakurai said something about Takamaru and Skapon, then what about the other Japan-Only characters? I dunno. He only commented on those two, that I recall. When I return to my room later (I'm doing meh radio show right now) I'll check it out.

...except for Ridley. Make him a boss. He's too big Will someone please explain to me why he's "too big" to be a playable character? I keep hearing this argument. Charizard is pretty big too. Smash Bros is not exactly to scale.

Smash Bros is not exactly to scale. Thats just a stupid internet fad. I believe it started at gamefaqs. I think he should be playable.

Well, I believe Ridley would look awkward being smaller than his Metroid series size.

Looks fine to me in the Melee opening video. He's not nearly as big as he is in Super Metroid. Most of his size in the Melee video is in Ridley's wingspan.
