Once there was a legendary man. He knocked heavyweight boxers many times his own size to the mat en route to a W.V.B.A. title.
Little Mac appears from Punch Out!I can do it! I’m the one!... But isn’t he a little small?Don’t take him too lightly just because he’s small. There’s an authentic fighter in him.A fierce dash! One! Two! Powerful jabs! And his special move is his uppercut!Resurrecting this legend for the current generation is something we can all enjoy just a bit. He is an Assist Trophy.

Well, I guess that clears up whether or not he's REALLY in.

Well, look like we have confirmation that he is an AT and he is not the Blond one. I wonder why they used the older version instead of the newer version from Super Punch-Out.
Well . . . Flip (and most likely others) are not going to be happy with this.

Mac is an Assist and Punch-Out!! doesn't have an icon! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! DO NOT WANT!
Though I love how this deconfirms that guy from Super Punch-Out!! from being Mac, AND Mac's in 3D!

Gets people to shut up about how they confused Little Mac with Knuckle Joe tbh.

Not exactly appropriate, but it has to be said.
DAMN he's got a big package.

This is such a boring update to me. Most people already knew this. We kind of. I thought we would at least have something else along with Little Mac. Far out this week hasn't had good updates!

HE IS NOT A SPRITE! ;D *dance* ;D And that's the end of that chapter. He looks great. Of course he could have been a playable fighter, of COURSE he could have been... but he's in as a fully-modelled Assist, and to be fair, so long as some of these long-forgotten heroes are remembered somehow, then I am happy! And for the last time, the blonde one is NOT the same boxer. You EA-loving smacktards!!

And for the last time, the blonde one is NOT the same boxer. You EA-loving smacktards!! Chill out, FryGuy64! Take a pill or something. If the blonde-haired boxer really isn't Little Mac, then I assume he is the remake of the green-haired wire boxer from the arcade versions.

Finally.... Punch Out is SOMEWHERE in Smash Brothers.
Sure, it's another character who could have been playable.... but it's really a big step for Punch out, who I sometimes think Nintendo is ashamed of.

Now I want a Doc Louis trophy to complement this. And at least one rival boxer.
BTW, he looks more aged and less happy than what 8-bit graphics were able to show at the time.

He 8-bit looks aren't as good as his promotional artwork look, in my opinion:

Ugh... I hate Sakurai. He's an evil man who feeds on lost hopes and broken dreams. While I'm recovering from the tragic loss of Meowth, he rubs salt into my wounds by deconfirming Little Mac as an AT. *runs away in tears* Leave me be!
