There are only a few nonsense stages in the only "slightly" nonsensical Smash. But there isn’t any stage more nonsensical than this.
PictoChat?! What is THIS?!
It’s a fun little sketch-and-chat software with wireless functionality that’s built into the Nintendo DS!And if you turn it into a stage, it looks like this! BAM!At first, there’s nothing there. It’s just flat.If you wait a bit, terrain gets drawn in with a few stylus strokes!Of course, you can climb up on the doodles. You may get knocked about by side winds. There may be things you want to ride on moving around.Hot! HOT! Are these flames? This looks solid! But it’s also flat?!Wow! A whale! The doodles that appear will disappear after a while, and then something else will get drawn.
Oh, and on this stage, you’ll also be able to enjoy Mii Channel music and Wii Shop Channel music, too.Oh! That’s just divine.

Greatest stage ever. And it's icon 21. I'm guessing this means Animal Crossing doesn't HAVE to have a playable character.

A NEW WORLD ICON! NUMBER 21! THIS IS SICK! SICK I SAY! FAR OUT I THINK I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYE! just kidding! You can even play the Brain Train Music on the Stage! AND MAYBE THE DS STICK WILL BE A PLAYABLE CHARACTER!

First off, I think this proves fairly firmly that franchises can have stages but not characters. Cause, uh, a DS character? I really REALLY doubt that happening.
Second off... WHAT!? WHAT THE HELL!?!? Sakurai has officially lost it! This is insane!
And I love it so!
What a crazy freaking stage. How can this not be unlockable?

Whoo! I love this and I'm fond of the Wii Shop Channel music. Things like this are a tribute to Nintendo overall and not only fictional characters. I guess that's the same idea behind Mr. Game & Watch.
Is there no chance for a Wii icon to appear if a DS hardware stage is going to have Wii songs?

So much for getting the obvious updates out the the way... they keep giving us NEW stuff even though there's a month worth of updates we know about!!
Just how much stuff is REALLY in this game, anyway?!

This is offically even more crazier and more original than the Wario Ware stage.
Never would have thought that pictochat would ever get represented in SSBB.
Now I can see why they had the comperser of the Everybody Votes Channel in this game.

Hehe, I actually met some people having this idea for a stage. Not the microgames one, though *sniffs* IDK how, but this smells like Mii! Me for Brawl!

At first this was like "wtf? Wario Ware AGAIN?" but this is just insane. Wth is this guy SMOKING?
And these are really, really simple levels to make. I'm curious how many more WarioWare and PictoChat stages he can pull out. What's next? Mii Parade?

Hmm, I just realized the same idea would have worked for Mario Paint.
I HOPE so much that you can unlock Mario Paint music for this stage! That would rule! This is seriously the most "out there" stage yet.

I think a Mario Paint song would be great for this stage, but it's not mentioned in the entry.

I think a Mario Paint song would be great for this stage, but it's not mentioned in the entry. Just because it is not there dosen't mean it's not in, you probley have to collect a C.D to unlock it!

I heard someone say that Professor Kawashima can possibly enter SSBB, not only because of him being mentioned twice in Sakurai's SSBB poll, but also because of SSBB including a Brain Age song.
However, Brain Age has its own symbol, which looks similar to the PBS logo. Also, Kawashima is a real person, which Sakurai said he will not add characters that didn't originate from a video game and have appeared in at least one developed for a Nintendo console.

Oh! A small detail.
If you look at the screenshot with the bridge... you can see one of Lucas's attacks. Kind of looks like Mario's forward smash but with psychic power instead of fire. That's ANOTHER move very different from Ness. The effect behind him would suggest it's his smash attack, where Ness would have the bat.
